I lovvved the swan boats-they were still there in 1981I felt like a 10 yr old princess riding in those!......Other things I miss--dining in the Empress room, the Pappeete Bay Veranda rest at Poly, the "old" imagination ride with Figment, taking classes at the Institute--the cooking and animation classes there were so much fun!
When I went as a "kid"--from 1980-92 or so, we had "key" cards--credit card type things, kind of like the room keys they have today, but with impressed numbers. You used them for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, little speed boat rentals and to get into the parks. Alcohol wasnt included (I was too young anyway), but tips were. I know the meals and activities were included in the package. When DH and I honeymooned in 1996, they had done away with these cards--we did the food and fun instead, which was much more limiting. (WIth Key cards, the mini boats were included, for as long as you cared to ride them each day, and all sit-down rest were included.) So, yup, I miss key cards!
