I got a shorter length red wool coat, a lowes gift card (my favorite store!), and a week’s stay in Myrtle Beach at the end of July, with my oldest son and his family. I will be there for my birthday! (Don’t ask the number!)

Younger son and DGD teamed up to buy me a custom made cropped denim jacket with a Ziggy Stardust inspired lightening bolt. I’m sure son cringed when (probably) DGD suggested it .
Have nooo idea where either think I’m wearing it but perhaps I’ll have it framed.
I’m exceptionally difficult to buy presents for yet very much appreciate the thought.

Our son and DIL got us an IPAD and IPODS...they thought we would enjoy listening to books and I'm deep into James Michener's Hawaii already. Since my retinal detachment (they reattached it) and numerous laser eye surgeries I cannot read my beloved Michener novels anymore. What a thoughtful gift from the best kids EVER! Honestly, spending time with them at our mountain home is the most wonderful gift of all...

Two days ago as we were driving to breakfast, my visiting DIL asked which song we thought of first to do with "space". Space Oddity was the answer and our 30 something son and DIL agreed and we listened to it together and then Starman...gotta love David Bowie! We obviously instilled a love of (vintage for them) music!

I gave my husband rye whiskey, a couple of sweaters, a T shirt from a bar we recently went to, and a Jaxxon Star Wars action figure. Our daughter made him a hat and gave him a Godzilla figurine.

He gave me slippers, Star Wars Bantha/Raider figures, and Snoopy bag, some Snoopy blind boxes, and a Krampus blind box. Our daughter made me some fingerless gloves and gave me the Awesome Mix CDs from Guardians of the Galaxy.

A deer cam so I can watch the wild life in the backyard while I’m working and a new filter for the water dispenser in the fridge. I bought myself four different vacuums. Yup. A stick vacuum for upstairs; a dirt devil for the stairs; a new carpet vacuum for my bedroom and a mini green machine for the stairs and small stains. Guess who has dogs.

Last year I got a new sectional couch and a trip to Disney. Guess I wasn’t that good this year

A deer cam so I can watch the wild life in the backyard

I got one as well! we are going to set it up to see if it's a moose, deer or elk that has taken to returning regularly to the exact same spot on my front lawn and relieving itself


I received allot of fun odds and ends but the 2 that caught me the most by surprise were

-a bottle of a discontinued scent of bath and bodyworks body wash that i've lamented not being able to get for several years. my oldest was clearing out a cabinet at his place and found a couple of unopened bottles and surprised me with one

-dh facilitates my love of old cartoons. several years ago he bought me a 1949 beanie and cecil set (in great condition/sound pulls still work). well today beanie and cecil gained a new friend-

DH got me this haunted mansion ornament. It has sound! I love it! The cats do not feel the same.

I received that ornament a few years ago. It is quite loud, so I put two layers of painter's tape over the speaker to soften the volume a bit.

From my boyfriend, I got a record player, two records (Rubber Soul by The Beatles and Symphony in the Sky by Saint Motel), a video game for my Nintendo Switch, some chocolates from our local chocolate specialty store, a Peanuts Holiday blu-ray, The Muppets Christmas Carol on DVD. I will also be getting a Charlie Brown Christmas music on vinyl whenever it arrives (late delivery).

From my boyfriend's sister who got me in our Secret Santa exchange, I got a Star Wars cheese board and a really nice cheese to go with it.

I'd say it was a good Christmas!

I was blessed with getting a new Northface Winter coat that I wanted, a gift card to put towards a black Northface Vest I want and some useful misc items. I love useful gifts - they aren’t flashy and exciting, but I don’t care, I love functional gifts.
