Do they notify you if you get a waitlist come through?

I have OKW booked, but waitlisted GFV a few months ago, and added BLT last weekend (on the offchance and because they have loads of studios there). I was going to drop GFV in favour of the Poly as the Poly has hundreds of studios and GF only has 47. She advised me not to, though, as I will drop to the bottom of the list again. Of course, there's no way of knowing how far down the list I am for GF anyway: I could be next, I could still be so far down it'll never happen. I've updated both waitlists to 7 days before we travel, just to cover all bases.

The thing is, are they likely to email me to tell me if my waitlist choice has come through, or will I have to keep checking back to 'my dashboard' to keep a look out for myself?

I would check once in awhile. Sometimes they don't email.

Only once or twice have I received an email. The rest I've just discovered on the website.

They are supposed to Email you, but the reality is that they may not. Usually I get an Email, but just recently I was on the waitlist for an ADV Value studio and a few days later, I happened to check and I had it! I waited several more weeks and they never notified me. So when I happened to call about something else, I verified that my waitlist had come through. The CM told me then that although they try to Email, occasionally they "don't have time"

I think you did the right thing not waitlisting the Poly. Although they have hundreds of studios due to slow sales not that many of them are currently available to book with points.
