Do S/D participate in early entry?

I read on another board that someone staying at the Swan/Dolphin was denied entry during Extra Magic Hour because they weren't staying in a Disney hotel.

I thought the S/D *did* participate in that perk! Can someone clarify please, because this will have a huge impact on where I choose to stay this summer.

They let us in in 2000. From what I can remember you get all the perks of the other Disney resorts except that you can't charge to your room from the parks or have packages sent back to your hotel.

We did both early entry and e-ride night.

We stayed at Swan last month and we did early entry every morning. The Disney "perk" you don't get is the ability to charge back to your room.

Swan, Dolphin, and all of the hotels on Hotel Plaza Blvd may take advantage of Early Entry, as well as E-Ride nights. Transportation is provided by the respective carriers.

Wait! Another question. A poster mentioned that you can't have packages delivered to the S/D. I thought that wasn't the case either, and that the *only* perk not available was using room key to charge in the parks??

You can have purchases sent to the resort, right?

Yes, I believe you can have packages delivered to S/D but they will not be delivered to your room as in the Disney resorts. I think there is pick up place in the lobby.

They haven't delivered to the room at Disney resorts for a year or better either (unless its changed again). Pick up packages usually at the hotel gift shop.

Crisi ~ Thanks for the update on the Disney resorts. The last time I used this service was in 1997 when they did deliver to the room.

I just wanted to add that when we stayed at the Swan in 2001 we loved the EE thing, especially the early morning boat ride to MGM. It was so quiet and one of my favorite memories of that trip.
