Do Premium Pet Foods Really Make A Difference?

Do you do the dry or tubes? What is the protein %? I am feeding them the Ultra Nutro Holistic Puppy but they just are going too much.

I have been feeding the dry Ultra Premium, though buy the rolls on occasion for treats and even the canned food to squish in their Kongs. The Ultra Premium is an all-level food, so you don't have to switch when they are adult. Works great for puppies and adults alike. It uses duck, lamb, and chicken. The crude protein is 23% minimum. =)

The dog obedience school guy always told us that the "better" dog foods made for more "compact" poops.

I have to feed mine a food called California Natural because he has a wheat allergy and it has no wheat.

Thank You. I think I will give it a go. The Nutro protein is just too high for my pups at 30%.

Another vote for Wellness brand....

I was feeding Pro Plan (which was great for our Lab, but when we got our Berner not good for her) Vet had recommended us adding fish oils to her diet. I figured why give supplements...I'd try better food first...

We are feeding the Whitefish & Sweet Potato....It is supposed to be really good for allergy prone pets.

Our Berner's coat is much shinier now...Only problem is that FISHBREATH.. ;)
