Do People Really Pay this Much for Checks?

We rec'd free checks when we opened our credit union account for setting up direct deposit. Unfortunately, all later orders must be paid for.

I'm liking the WalMart checks and prices -- thanks for posting the link!

Our checks are free from the bank, but at an average of 2 checks a month... it doesn't really matter to me how much a book of 150 costs. $10 for 6 years is fine with me.

I tried to reorder checks through Chase a few years ago and they wanted to charge something riduculous like $25. So I gave up on them and started buying them online.

It always surprised me how much people were willing to pay for their checks when I worked at the bank. I'd see people picking out all these options and hit $30 or $40 for 1 box of checks. I often wondered if they were planning on wallpapering with them . . . it's fine to get cutesy checks as long as they are inexpensive IMHO.

Just be careful - from what I've been told, those circulars in the coupon section do sell your information in order for you to get the prices so cheaply.
