Do I need to prioritize tickets if the are NOT non-expiring?

We have 2 trips to WDW coming up. We have 5 day park hopper passes for our August trip. We also have 2 day passes for a post cruise trip in February. Do I have to worry about prioritizing tickets? I don't plan on using the park hopper part for either trip (we just bought that to get the free dining). I just don't want them to use the 2 day passes for our first 2 days then start using days from the 5 day passes for the next 3 days of our first trip. If they do that I'm afraid they will expire before our next trip in February, since they expire 14 days after their first use. I hope that's not too confusing.

Just add family members named "ticket holder adult" and "ticket holder child" and reassign all the two-day tickets to them.

When you are ready to plan your second trip, reassign the tickets to the correct people and book your FPs.

I assume you have two separate pair of tickets. Just make sure you use the ticket with more days when you go the first Time as that will expire in 14 days after first use

I thought you weren't allowed to assign tickets to someone else? Is that not true?

Our tickets are linked to MDE. We'll be using Magicbands not plastic tickets.

If they were purchased as part of a package there is no way for the wrong tickets to be used as the 2 day tickets won't be available for the first stay.

I would think it's even MORE important to prioritize them if they are expiring tickets.

I agree. Unless the two day tickets are part of a package for the second trip, they definitely need to be prioritized, otherwise your scenario of using the two day tickets first may happen.

Correct. Package tickets do not become active until your check-in day.

The FP system opens the booking window because you have a "package."
