Do all men have a problem looking for things?

My DH seems to believe that if he needs something out of the fridge, all he has to do is open the door. If whatever he's looking for doesn't jump out right at him, then we're out. The same applies when he's looking for an article of clothing that's in a pile of laundry that hasn't been folded yet. The whole basket can be full, but if what he wants isn't right on top, it's not there.

So is it just my DH, or is this a common problem?

I cannot tell you how many times a day I hear "Marilyn, where is this? Marilyn, where is that? Marilyn, where did you put this?, etc"

We have lived in this house of 9 years and you would think we moved in just yesterday!

LOL! My DH is just like that! If is isn't right there, he can't find it. Let's not include the times he blames me for moving something that he did and can't find.

Oh yes! Just recently DH was taking the kids to the neighbors sprinkler. He had the nerve to interrupt me while Dising(imagine? ) and ask where the towels are. I replied...the same place they have been for the 3+ years we have lived in this house.
Then last week he was giving DS a bath and ran out of baby soap. He asked me where it was and I told him in the linen closet to the left, on one of the middle shelves. He was looking for about 5 minutes and replied, we dont have anymore. I walked right over the closet and pulled it out within seconds. Hello?????

My DH is terrible about this and it drives me crazy. I always say that he expects to put out his arms and have whatever he is looking for fall into his hands and if it does not then he can't find it and I must know where it is.

DW will tell me to pull over & she'll ask...

It is such a guy thing. DH has trouble finding things and now DS is starting.

I heard a comedian once talk about this. He said it is because men are hunters and women are gatherers. Women can see things that are standing still. For men, the object has to be moving. That is why DH can't find the eggs in the fridge -- they are standing still. We always joke that he can't find anything that isn't moving.

And, yes, I believe it to be a guy thing. Include my dh, he can never find anything, either!
