DME to BLT or Poly?

We are going to be staying at BLT and taking DME from the airport. I have heard the BLT is the last stop. It has been suggested to get off at Poly and take the monorail over to BLT to save on time.
Has anyone done this? Will it save a lot of time?

Probably won't save very much.

By the time you get off the bus, get over to the monorail and then if you have to wait a few minutes for it to come around, then ride it over to CR - I imagine the bus is now letting people off at CR and you have not saved any time.

I also will be at BLT in July! I was thinking of doing the same thing. I heard the ME order is Poly, GF, WL/VWL & CR/BLT. I can't remember the monorail order.

I beleive that the order in which DME stops is not consistant. You list it as Poly then GF then WL then CR. I'm not doubting that might be one of the options. When we rode DME in Oct 08 the order for drop-off was CR then WL then FW, GF and Poly weren't even on our bus. I think it might depend on who they are expecting at that time.

We stayed at BLT last year & yes it is the last stop after WL, GF & Poly, however I can't see that it would save any more time exiting at Poly & taking the monorail. That will be the day you just missed the monorail & have to wait 10 min. for another one, or it's broken down! Plus when you exit the monorail at BLT/CR you are on a different floor than check-in.

Will you have luggage? Luggage is not allowed on Disney busses, so I'm guessing it might not be allowed on the monorail either.

Thank you all for your replys.
It sound slike we should just stay on the bus until we reach BLT.
Maybe we will be the first drop off. :)
Thanks
Lori

To the OP I just wanted to let you tell you incase you didn't know this but the Magical Express bus will drop you off at the Contemporary because that's where you will check-in, since Bay Lake Tower doesn't have their own check-in desk like the Contemporary.

I just thought of something else - are you even allowed to get off at a stop other than the one designated on your reservation? They load luggage under the bus by resort so it's easy to unload at each stop - if you exit at Poly & have luggage, they won't be willing to dig your luggage out. You'd probably have to meet the ME bus at BLT/CR to claim it

Thanks CR resort fan 4 life.

With all of the additonal comments, I am definatley staying on the bus until we get to CR. One potential catastrophe diverted.
Thanks

Even if they did dig it out, you would have to walk over, because you cannot take luggage on the monorail or on Disney buses.
