I have checked the FAQ Hotel threads and I think I am just missing something b/c I can't seem to find the prices of the resorts anywhere - based on Seasons and such, etc. - I am 'feeling out' a trip for April and I have not a clue where to find some rates! Any help? TIA!

-C.

as a general rule at DLP, Saturday check-in dates give the most expensive rates, and avoid UK and French holidays if you want good rates and quiet-ish crowd levels.

I have been to the website, but it wants me to price a 'trip' hotel, tickets, etc - I just want the resort rates! I have been to WDW a million times - I think myself to be an excellent 'planner' - but we have just been stationed through the Army in Europe and I feel like an alien dealing with DLP. LOL I don't know a thing about it!

And can someone explain to me why it is going to cost us more then a THOUSAND USD's MORE to stay 6 nights at DLP in a value resort than it would at a WDW Value Resort? I understand USD and Euro's are different - But after converting the Euros & USD's to see what I need to be saving - DLP is costing me TWICE what WDW ever has! :faint:

the DLP booking procedure is not the same as the US ones - and you can't get any "rates" as such unless you do a dummy booking. You can still get "rates" in the paper brochures though, so maybe your local travel agent might have a brochure?

You also don't have to pick either the US or German version of the DLP site to get prices on, you can pick any one you like (different countries get different offers) so try the France one, and the UK one, and the Irish ones for example, see what prices you get. With DLP, basically they release their base prices twice a year, everyone laughs and says "how much?????" as its ridiculously expensive, and then they start with the discount offers.

Also, 6 nights/7 days is a long time at DLP - most visitors find 3 or 4 night packages suit fine to see and do everything, as long as its not a weekend/major French holiday.

Also, unlike WDW and DL, the DLP price includes breakfast and park hopper tickets for each day.

DLP is a lot more expensive than WDW going by what we've paid or our trips. But like Elaine says that price does include your tickets and breakfast.

You can't get rate prices like you can with the WDW resorts. And if you did see those rates you'd never want to pay them!!

I've only ever booked DLRP when they've had a 30/40% offer on.

It's a very different pricing structure to WDW.

If I can help...I'd be happy to, as we're Americans stationed in Germany. :thumbsup2. I also consider myself a Disney Professional planner...but this doesn't apply to DLP, it's a whole other ballgame!:rotfl2:

It's more about waiting for a great deal vs. how you might plan in the states, and as mentioned, the price is for your room, park hoppers AND breakfast. (When we booked recently, we were amazed at how CHEAp it was compared what we usually spend in the states...$3-4K and this trip is less than half that, and includes 3 character meals and 6 nights at the Sequoia)... an 'inexpensive' trip can be planned, even when converting €=$...it's mostly a waiting game and jumping on it when you can.

I would also add...that since gathering information for DLP can seem confusing and almost Alien if you're used to DL or WDW, I'd suggest getting a book. It was suggested to me on this board ( :lovestruc ) and I've found it simple yet invaluable having lots of info in one spot and organized (I'm a note maker, but really, it got too extensive and confusing).

I ordered The Unofficial Guide to Disneyland Paris from Amazon...loads of info such as restaurants, reviews, hotels, touring plans, phone numbers...the works. Starting there might help the differences make a bit more sense. :goodvibes

I normaly pay about £550 for a six night, seven day trip at one of the value resorts for two adults. That would be either at the Santa Fe or Hotel Cheyenne which includeds park tickets and breakfast.

Wow. That's very cheap even in comparison to WDW.

We've always paid around £900 for 3 night/4 day that's either been Deluxe at a slow time or Mod at peak.

We paid £1400 for 14 nights WDW Deluxe (which is much nicer than DLRP deluxe in our opinion) a few years back. So that's why I say WDW is a lot cheaper. That didn't include park tickets though.
