DL tickets and reservations - April 15!

That makes sense. Disney has stated that park reservation availability *may* be handled on a rolling basis.
And I was looking at it as a "may" kind of thing - it feels like they're giving themselves the option. Hard to say if they'll use it, or when. (Maybe we'll find out on Thursday.)

I'll edit myself and note that it's actually "functioning" more today than it was yesterday - April (only) works now, but only insofar as removing options for April 30th and marking today as having no reservations available. (It didn't work at all yesterday.) So, at least they seem to be testing the functionality.

I hope it does become functional. We're planning on a Thanksgiving trip and staying at the DLH, and it would be really great to make the hotel reservation and be able to get tickets and park reservations at the same time. :)

I'm also hoping for a Thanksgiving trip but staying at the GCH (if possible!). I'm already stressing about getting hotel reservations and theme park reservations. Here's hoping for good luck for both of us!

I'm choosing to be optimistic that by the time the calendar opens up for November, the attendance cap has been increased (or removed altogether) and we'll all be able to go when we want to. :goodvibes

I anticipate that there's going to be a cap at least until end of 2021 so it is in the best interest of Disney to give their hotel stays an added advantage of scheduling beyond the 60 day limit.

Anyone tried calling today? I have a question about multi day tickets, I’ve been on hold for 3 hours! Luckily I have other things to do while I’m on hold, but this is crazy. Getting really tired of hearing the same music over and over.

I love whistling to zippity doo dah! Admittedly cheeks got sore at 45minutes.

100% on the attitude. My tickets aren't in the system correctly and I can't get a date that I want at the moment. Can't control it for now. Gotta see how it plays out. Go with the flow.

Just tried calling. The current message is to call back later. :tigger:

That’s the message I got yesterday so I was excited to get through today. But this almost 4 hour wait time is insane. Guess I should just wait it out, since I have so much time invested already.

Hey, if you can get stuff done and your phone is plugged in and nearby..why not? If they can't resolve your question or whatnot, might be frustrating to have been on hold all that time. Eek.

Did you try the chat feature in the app?

I'm confused about the multi-day discussion. I see that the understanding is that they still expire in 13 days. But does anyone know what the situation will be if it's not possible to get enough reservations for a multi-day ticket within those 13 days? I'd like 2 days back to back, but if I can't do that, we might just do 1 day park hopper. I wonder what the ability to change tickets will be at that point.

I'm curious about the multi-day situation as well. We have 4 day park hoppers and I'm worried about making a reservation for 4 days in a row (which we'll have to have for work/vacation reasons). Of course, this is theoretical at this point since we're in Oregon and can't make reservations yet, but I'm eagerly awaiting and hoping things become clear soon!

My guess is that it'll be abundantly clear on the calendar before you buy a multi-day pass whether you'll be able to get reservations for those days. I don't know that they'll go as far as WDW does - which more or less stops you from buying tickets for days that are already "sold out". But I suspect that capacity will be open enough that there won't be any huge surprises - assuming you book your park reservations immediately after you buy the ticket.

I wonder how this will play out for those of us who already have multi day tickets from before the shut down.

I would wager that, with rare exception, you shouldn't have any problem booking each day as they become available, especially if you can jump on at 8am (or whatever the release time ends up being) - and especially later this year. I think there might be a stray day here and there that will fill up quickly, but I think there's enough capacity on most days that you could afford to be moderately leisurely each day - assuming you can plan your trip 60 days out and book it that day. (The average park goer isn't going to be as driven about booking a specific day 60 days out - it's really the die-hard planners like us that will be angling for position and catch the early worm.)
