DL tickets and reservations - April 15!

Yikes - A very popular travel agency (to remain unnamed) is suggesting on instagram and facebook that people buy their tickets at 8:00am with them AND THEN head to DL website for reservations. That will either be the hack of the century or a total disaster.

I agree. That could either work really well or not at all because they’ll still have to link their tickets in the website and then get into the reservation queue. Since it’s unknown if the system will merge the process of ticket buying/reservation system on the Disney site, it could either skip a step or put those who bought their tickets elsewhere a step behind.

It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out tomorrow.

Good luck to all tomorrow!

I don't know what's wrong with me. I'm not even planning to buy tickets tomorrow and yet I'm avidly following every post and my heart starts beating faster when I think about tomorrow. Like right now, I feel like I've had 4 cups of coffee just thinking about it.

same! I think the earliest we would go is July, but some part of my brain thinks I need tix for the 30th :rotfl:

I have a couple travel agent friends (one works for the board sponsor and the other owns her own that a couple other friends work for), so I have reached out to them and asked them what they knew on this question. I would prefer to go through them if it means only have to queue for the theme park reservations and to give them an albeit small commission. I will let you know if I hear back from one of them.

I had an ongoing nightmare about the tickets and theme park reservations 2 nights ago. I am definitely nervous and nauseated about the whole thing. I want a 1-2 day ticket for May or early June and then a 4-5 day ticket for July for a VGC reservation. I may wait about 2 weeks to buy that one. And then for November for another VGC reservation probably 2-3 day ticket. Although, I am hoping the new membership information will be announced by then.

I hope after the initial onslaught they will open a hotel resort bucket to book rooms into the future for stays like those 4-5days and opportunity to reserve without hitting daily rolling calendar. Book like DVC gives day of booking+7days. The computer coding for that exists to adopt

I already have tickets and reservations and can't stop following what will happen tomorrow!!

I'm surprised that Disney would even be allowing third parties to sell tickets right away. That sounds a recipe for nightmares, with very little upside for Disney.

I’m with you. We won’t be traveling to California from Pennsylvania until AT LEAST next summer but I’ve been reading and reading and reading. I just can’t wait to go back:yay:

Does the following language on the website confirm that Disneyland Resort guests will have a separate reservation bucket? If so, why don't they just announce it? I certainly don't want to book a room at the Grand Cal and then find out that I cannot get a reservation to the parks!

After You Make a Purchase
Given the limited availability of theme park reservations, it is recommended that you make your theme park reservations immediately after purchasing your tickets. Keep in mind that 1 Park Per Day Tickets, Park Hopper Tickets and tickets that are part of a Walt Disney Travel Company vacation package may have different park reservation date availability.

The wording of that is weird. Maybe the Resort bucket is only for those who specifically include tickets as part of their hotel reservation package? Not for those who purchase tickets separately (or already have them)?

Same. I am just hoping to go in August before school starts so I can bring the kids.
