DL Paris?

It is still too early to book rooms for the end of May, beginning of June.

We were on the Wonder this week and met and chatted with folks from England who did not speak very well of DLP. Some of the negativity was a comparison to WDW which is so much better. Some was about the language, not speaking French, needing headphones.

This year we spent 3 nights in DIsneyland CA. (VGC was so beautiful!) The night we got there was just to rest from travel, dinner at Napa Rose which was excellent. Then we spent 2 days in the parks. We were thinking of doing the same thing in DLP.

My group is DH, DSis, DBiL and myself, and I will need a scooter. (We are all between 62 & 71.) This comes after DCLs EBTA cruise, and we will see some sights in Paris, Normandy after. For those who have been, did you think DLP was worth the trip? I hope so, so I expect to spend at least 1 day there. For this trip, which we expect to be our last to Europe, we are OK with costs, money and points. We want it to be as non stressful as possible. The cruise stops at Iceland, which was the selling point for us, plus we really enjoy longer cruises.

WDW is better hands down.
But I find DLP very beautiful as well. The main park has great details and the best Fantasyland I've seen. BTMRR are the best version in the world and many attractions are different and worth a visit.
If you like adrenaline, you'll find a lot more in DLP than in WDW
Studios are much more lacking, but Nemo, Cinemagique and expecially Ratatuille are worth the ticket on their own. Ratatuille is the best Disney dark ride I've ever seen.

But you have to understand the different culture. You'll see people smoking everywhere in outdoors area, some queue jumping, some rudeness, worst level of service (all this is true everywhere in Europe) and Cast Members do not interact with guests nearly as much. In DLP people may speak many different languages so I think CM are not even trained to interact much with guests, it wouldn't be worth the effort.
So I would say:go for it as long as you have the right expectations. But do not use points, they are an awful value. book cash.

I've been twice and that is an accurate description...but I would go again. My adults daughters refer to it as alternative world Disney. Both time we took a Disney bus one way ( for a price) to or from the airport...took train into Paris. Daughter had a broken foot and Disney provided a wheelchair for free, but that was May 2003. I never noticed any scooters.

bobbi, I love DLP but I always go as a side trip from paris.

Personally I hate folks who go to another country and then compare it to America. sorry but if you want American culture, stay in America. My peeve only. The point of world travel is to experience it and unfortunately that includes some of the not so nice aspects.

I did laugh because a friend of mine visits often from Portugal and hates the way Disneyworld CM's interact with the public. As she puts it, the fake "I'm your best friend as long as you pay me" culture. so for her having a cm in her face night and day is just annoying.
Different culture.
