I'm going to be staying at the DL hotel on my next trip. The last time I stayed there was in 1990. Back then the hotel was dirty and our room was filthy. We asked to switch rooms, and the new one was worse, so we just went back to the original. We REALLY enjoyed the paddle boats (which I so terribly miss:sad2: ) and remember the staff being nice. What's the hotel like nowadays? Is it clean? I understand it was remodeled a few years ago. I know the rooms are small, that's not a problem. Anything you can tell me about it would be appreciated. Thanks:thumbsup2

and the room was nice and clean. The staff was really accomodating as well. We were originally placed in the Bonita tower but I explained to the person in registration that my son was afraid of the fire works and we wold not be able to see them in the park so if we could get a room to see them that would be great and they switched us. We could see them from our sliding glass door.

Only thing that we didn't think was great is that the sinks in the bathroom were too high for the kids to reach. We wished we had brought the step stool.

We have stayed there a few times and I prefer the Bonita tower… We had a room near the end of the hall on the DTD side and we could watch the fireworks from bed :upsidedow I love to open the door and listen to the waterfall.. It’s really pretty at night too!

I didn’t find the rooms small at all. they were very clean and the decor is perfect! The staff is really nice and we have only had good experiences there...

I prefer the room with the 2 queen beds and futon, but on our last trip that type of room was not available.. Instead, they sent over a roll away bed. I must say that the bed was really comfy too!

I wish that we could go back there again for our trip next month, but we missed the AP4 rate..

Most of the rooms at the DLH are fairly large, but they do have a few "small" rooms, which are really lockoff bedrooms meant to be part of a suite. If you happen to get one of these rooms and don't like it, ask to be reassigned to a regular size room (or to unlock the door to the living room of the suite :goodvibes ).:thumbsup2

If they don't have any other rooms, ask for a discount since you're stuck with a much smaller room. Smaller room = smaller price. :teacher:
