You can add me too!

Oh and I thought I qouted it, but the pooping flower had me laughing so hard all day long :rotfl2:

Hehe. Gotta love Target. I just get into too much trouble there. Too much trouble.

:wave2: Been another "off" day for me today. But doing alright at the moment. I finally get to catch watch my Sharks play. Ugh. Our televised games have been very hit or miss (mostly miss) at my house all season long. And I made myself dinner (hamburger). That's a good sign.

I'm watching The Princess and the Frog with the girls. All the talk of New Orleans lately got me in the mood. I figure that's as close as I'm gonna get for now.

This is what I have listed on the front page so far for mini-meets. PLEASE let me know if you want to be added to either or both lists. Thanks. (no rush of course, I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss anyone)

My family and I are going to try to pull this one off too...Get us a disney fix before our October trip...Even if we are technically not pacific northwest it is so much closer than the land.

:thumbsup2 Good for you cooking dinner that didn't involve a microwave. I am impressed :rotfl2:

You can add me too!
You got it! :thumbsup2 By the way, what does your screen name stand for? I've been trying to figure it out, but I can't....

:wave2: Been another "off" day for me today.
Boo for "off" days. I hate those.

Cool, I will add you as well.

Um, I have a real name ya know.:rolleyes1
And I suppose you want me to actually use it? :confused3 :p

You got it! :thumbsup2 By the way, what does your screen name stand for? I've been trying to figure it out, but I can't....

:lmao::lmao: Well I have had it since I was in college, it was my email and sign on for Aol and everything back in the day. I use to drink MGD beer in college, and well, one night :lmao: Everyone started calling me Captain MGD, so it just became a little nickname, and one day I finally had to sign up for a free email account and I chose captnmgd, but then it need a number, so I chose 23 because I use to be a Michael Jordan fanatic :rotfl:

So more than you wanted to know, has nothing to do with Disney, but it just has been my screen name for years :rotfl:

Heading to LAX in a few hours...I love falling asleep on the red eye and waking up at WDW...It's like a really good dream :)

Aloha Diva's :)
Sweet Dreams!

How exciting! You should probably consider bringing your personal chef along. You don't want to be cooking on your vacation. Just sayin....;)

Safe travels tonight!
Hmmmmm. It just so happens a personal chef I happen to know is going to WDW with me--but I have a feeling she won't be cooking much! LOL

This is what I have listed on the front page so far for mini-meets. PLEASE let me know if you want to be added to either or both lists. Thanks. (no rush of course, I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss anyone)

Ummmm---hellooooooooooooooo

my favorite myfrugaladventures dot com.
I use the site almost daily. The lady that runs it lives in my area apparently. I can't remember if I mentioned it earlier, but Couponing to Disney is another fav.

I have a quick question for any ladies who have been to New York. DH and I are planning a trip (without kids:cool1:) in September and I am clueless about where to stay. Even suggestions on areas to look into or avoid would be helpful! We plan on doing the usual tourist stuff. Actually we'll be getting a city pass so everything here http://www.citypass.com/new-york We don't need much other than a clean place to stay. Thank you!

The DH and DS6 went to NYC last summer when my DH was stationed in NJ. I would recommend not taking a car if you can, driving and parking in the city is ridiculous! :scared1: We stayed at the Belvedere Hotel off of Time's Square. It is close enough to TS to walk and see everything that is there, but far enough away and on such a quiet street that we slept like babies. Here is the review I posted on YELP: http://www.yelp.com/biz/belvedere-hotel-new-york#hrid:F7zliHZd3-VDNFAp6SXt9A BTW~ Avoid the Bronx! :rotfl: The zoo there is amazing, but that area is so crime and garbage ridden.

So, if anyone wants to do a Marathon weekend sometime (I know Jen might), let me know.
Not this time. It is so expensive for me to fly out there, get a room, run the race, and go to the parks. I am just hoping they bring more races to DL. The Expedition race sounded like so much fun, but it is too short of a race for me to justify all the expenses to do it.

Well, we didn't get much wind last night. Now they are saying tonight/tomorrow morning and they upped it from 35MPH gusts to 50MPH. I am fairly certain that the 2 leaning sections of fence will be in my neighbor's yard sometime tomorrow morning. They tried falling over here on Saturday night and I propped them up and now they are leaning the other way. Hey, it's not my fault if the neighbor isn't checking the fencing and putting up supports on their side too..... :rolleyes1
!
I feel you on the wind! We lost several windchimes from my grandma's old collection that is still hanging outside of our window. Apparently they were banging around so much the other night my hubby was up till 4am. Didn't bother me though! I have learned that wind is a great way to prune a palm tree. The neighbors palm has sent leaves flying all over the street and my driveway :rotfl:
Boring?? Target isn't boring. It rocks!! LOL And it's dangerous for my wallet..... :rolleyes1
Hear hear!:woohoo:

I love how involved in your community you are. You, Jill and Melody all are. :worship:

Thanks :) I swear this is the last and only year I will do this though. I told my room parents over two weeks ago that tonights meeting was mandatory - they or another rep for their class must be there. Out of my 30+ room parents, I had 7 show up and only 2 others email to let me know they wouldn't be there. We had a long list of things needing to be done and only a few of the people there tonight signed up to help. Why would you volunteer to be a room parent if you don't do your job? So frustrated!

My classes do not meet tomorrow so I am going to spend the day putting up Easter decorations and working on crafts :cloud9:

Boring?? Target isn't boring. It rocks!! LOL And it's dangerous for my wallet..... :rolleyes1

It's boring when you're there for such thrilling items as deodorant, vitamins, peanut butter and cookie dough (they have the MOST. AWESOME. ready to bake Oatmeal Cranberry Walnut cookies. YUM!). Even with a trip thru the Easter goodies I wasn't in there for 20 minutes. Sigh.

And I'm all caught up again. Wind is now expected to get ugly around noon tomorrow. Good news is that means I will get a full night sleep! LOL Catch y'all on the flip side!

Holy cow..I think I'm packed! It's getting darker and darker as the rain is closing in. Glad I'm heading to my other happy place where it will be sunny and warm :)

So...DH just found out he is getting his annual bonus this year. Last year they didn't get one due to the economy and such. So I looked at our long list of "to do" things around the house and then I decided to book us at the Aulani for the grand opening...LOL I couldn't help myself and now that its done...I can't wait!!! We will be there 8/29-9/2 and will be adding on a few nights before or after at Turtle Bay Resort.

Heading to LAX in a few hours...I love falling asleep on the red eye and waking up at WDW...It's like a really good dream :)

Aloha Diva's :)

I am very happy for you! What a wonderful trip. Is there some booking secret that I don't know about. Or does it just cost $500 a night minimum? I just can't live with that price given how far I need to make $500 go. Don't begrudge anyone else spending it, but I can't . Would really love to go someday though:) Looks amazing

Works for me - you can add my name :thumbsup2 I "think" Angie is in too, but I'll leave that for her to say definitely ;)
Yep, if Theresa's driving, I'm going!

Boring?? Target isn't boring. It rocks!! LOL And it's dangerous for my wallet..... :rolleyes1

I love Target! But I have to travel to another country for one:)

We stayed at the Belvedere Hotel off of Time's Square. It is close enough to TS to walk and see everything that is there, but far enough away and on such a quiet street that we slept like babies.
Thanks Jen!

Morning all!

Checking in before we blow or float away LOL. Man this storm is UGLY!! Yesterday they said it was going to be really nasty and it looked that way when I got up and as we were leaving and was so/so as we drove down to the Bay but then once we got down there the rain stopped and the sun even came out for most of the day so it was actually pretty decent and not sure how it was here all day since none of us were here but I don't think it was too bad but now it is getting ugly again and as Lisa said they are saying it is going to be nasty so I am glad I am going to be home and don't really have anywhere to go!

Yesterday ended up really crazy. I was up at 4:30 to make sure we had everything done, lunches made and my camera bag all packed and such and then I had to take Shelby to my friends house and get back to the school and then it turned out that only 2 parents volunteered and they would only allow 8 kids to each parent so we JUST had enough. When I got to the school the one parent wasn't there and the teacher was freaking out because if she didn't show we couldn't do it and on and on but she DID show and then we all were getting on the bus and somehow they didn't count right and there were not enough seats!! So it was the two teachers myself and Katy with no place to sit. So the bus driver said the parents would have to drive and I was freaking out because my car didn't have any gas and I am really short on money right now with Shane out of work so I was not thrilled at the thought of having to drive and pay bridge tolls and parking and such when I THOUGHT I was going to be going on the bus. But then one of the other parents offered to drive since their car was full of gas so myself and one other mom and that other mom and dad went in their car and then the rest went on the bus. Well then when we got into the city we were on an overpass and stopped in traffic and we got rear ended! The guy never even applied his brakes. I think he was looking at his phone or something because he plowed into us. And I was busy looking down at MY phone cuz we were using my gps to find where we were going so it was pretty shocking to all of a sudden get slammed into. Luckily we were in a Forerunner and he had a big trailer hitch so the guy who hit us took some damage to his front bumper but our guy's truck was not damaged but we all were pretty sore cuz we figured he hit us probably doing at least 40 or 50. I was really shocked that his truck didn't even damage cuz he hit us so hard I was really expecting his truck to be damaged too! But they shook hands and since all the damage was on the guy who hit us he just said no problem and he left. We were worried we were going to be late but we actually got to the museum BEFORE the bus because apparently the bus driver was afraid to drive on the hills and kept stopping and she was a half hour late so the kids missed our pre-assigned planetarium show which was a major bummer but we broke off into our groups and went on our way. After all the little glitches we had a good rest of the day and then we went back and the bus was late getting back but otherwise it was a good trip.

Got home last night and the storm was really crazy! Tons of rain and thunder and such.

So quite a day yesterday. Expecting another big storm today and Shane is back off work today so planning on just hanging round the house and trying to stay dry and make sure we don't lose any trees and such.

Hope everyone has a good day and those round here hope your homes and fences and such stay safe!

Wow Kelly - glad everyone is okay! I think from your description you went to the California Academy of Sciences? If so, I love that place! So sorry the kids missed the planetarium show. We did a large corporate event there last year and I feel in love with it!

Just sitting here listing to the rain and wind - again! Getting a little tired of it and feeling cooped up! Really missing my morning walks with my doggie!
But I have gotten a lot done in the office. Finally got my tax info to our accountant and am all caught up on paperwork!! Yeah!

Wendy - good to see you on the boards. Hang in there and hope it gets better. :grouphug:

Beth - you can put me down for Oct. 2 - 5. Going with some close girlfriends and staying at the Grand again!

Hope everyone has a great day and stays dry!

Hi Lisa,

I am finally here and have a lot to catch up on.

Trish

Good morning, ladies!

If I stand on my tippy toes I can see the weekend from here!! :cool1:

I use to drink MGD beer in college, and well, one night :lmao: Everyone started calling me Captain MGD, so it just became a little nickname, and one day I finally had to sign up for a free email account and I chose captnmgd, but then it need a number, so I chose 23 because I use to be a Michael Jordan fanatic :rotfl:
:lmao: That's funny because the first thing I thought of was the beer, MGD64. But I thought, no, that can't be it because I've never heard of an MGD23. LOL!

Ummmm---hellooooooooooooooo
 Hi Cheryl. :rolleyes1 Okay, I totally know you are going and when, but I wanted to make sure you posted before I added it. ;)

Thanks :) I swear this is the last and only year I will do this though. Ugh, very frustrating! I'm sorry that happened. I agree, why sign up and volunteer if you won't follow through. I don't blame you for not wanting to deal with that again.
