"Diva" Trip - "Cliff Notes" p.236 OLD THREAD!

Thank you for the hugs and support, everyone. I'm still pretty much in shock over the whole thing. I haven't been getting much sleep this week which just stinks.

I'm so excited for all the girls going to WDW! I can't wait to see the pictures and daily Facebook updates (which y'all better do).

I've been enjoying all the yummy food talk. Makes me super hungry.

If so, I need all those interested to post once again who's going and when they'll be there.

I am going to WDW for the 1/2 Marathon, Oct 1. Not sure of the exact travel dates yet, but I was wondering if anyone was going around that same time?

Also, I would love to have a mini Diva trip to WDW someday. I know y'all used to have the Diva trip there... I'm from Florida, and I can get rooms at Lake Eve resort for cheap (a friend of mine from high school works there.) I don't want to post the rate I get, but it would be about $10 per person per night. They're really nice. I lived in Orlando after college 2005 & 2006, and worked for a Surveying firm that drew up the plans for them. They were supposed to be luxury apartments/condos, but that was during a housing boom. Anyways, I also have some CM friends that can help with admission to the parks (if we had a small group) including Disney water parks. So, if anyone wants to do a Marathon weekend sometime (I know Jen might), let me know.

What fun! I bet you'll be able to round up some gals to join you.

Of course, some Divas are going on vacation... what do you expect? We're Divas!! I still need to do my toenails...

Christmas is my favorite holiday too - and we're going the last bit of November, first bit of December. Never been at Christmas, so I'm so excited

We were looking at the week after Thanksgiving but decided to do the first week in December instead.

We are doing Halloween for the first time this year but I have already done Christmas many many times over the years. If I had not done either yet I would recommend going for Christmas first as well. Don't forget to pop over to the PCH and see if you can get that tree to smile for the camera.

I sure hope this all works out.....I'm pretty excited about the possibility of going!!

Holy cow..I think I'm packed! It's getting darker and darker as the rain is closing in. Glad I'm heading to my other happy place where it will be sunny and warm

So...DH just found out he is getting his annual bonus this year. Last year they didn't get one due to the economy and such. So I looked at our long list of "to do" things around the house and then I decided to book us at the Aulani for the grand opening...LOL I couldn't help myself and now that its done...I can't wait!!! We will be there 8/29-9/2 and will be adding on a few nights before or after at Turtle Bay Resort.

Heading to LAX in a few hours...I love falling asleep on the red eye and waking up at WDW...It's like a really good dream

4fosterkids. I am so glad you are going to spend a few more days on Oahu. 4 or 5 days is just not enough. Unless you golf or play tennis not much to do at Turtle Bay. That is only my opinion. The new Disney timeshare should be wonderful. A few years back we purchased a condo in the Waikiki area ( straight back from the Pink Lady Hotel). Have not been in 3 years --to hard for me to take husband who in full time wheel chair with no help. Thinking about using part of the capital gain from sale to buy into the Disney timeshare. Not sure how much they are going for now point wise.

Please Please do a trip report. Take lots of pictures. Do all the resort activities and please include that. I don't eat much, can watch kids, make arrangements for fun cook, clean what ever if you want to make the trip for 1 more.

Beth, that would be great! I didn't have much luck with the thread last time I tried it and I think it will get a lot more response if we keep it here. Once it gets closer, I can start a planning thread for it. At this time I am planning to go and probably bringing DH unless he decides not to take the time or unless it is just Divas and I decide to ditch him, I mean talk him out of going.

I would love a WDW meet! Not sure if I could swing it but if there is one planned I will see what I can do.

It's my baby's birthday today! (He is 19.) Fun plans with the GF and we are celebrating with him tomorrow. Nice to have him home for spring break this week.

Jill - have a great time at WDW! And I would love to stay at Aulani! Maybe someday... I might try to talk Mike into it for our 25th anniversary in 2 years. He wants to tour the holy lands with his old seminary professor but that doesn't sound like an anniversary trip to me.

I saw that on fb! I'm so jealous!!! I haven't been to Hawaii since our honeymoon back in '96! I'm glad someone I know is going so I can get first hand reports on Aulani!
