I love Vinylmations too (the small ones) :thumbsup2 Half off is a great deal.
That is a great deal! ::yes::

Have checked on all the family in Cali and everyone is saying for the most part they are getting heavier waves but nothing dangerous (most of family is between San Diego and Ventura)
Good to hear.

My sister lives 70 miles down the coast from Crescent City. So far it sounds like everything is OK for her.
I'm glad so far so good for her area.

Another poster on the Dis--corpsebride--had her wedding on Halloween last year--she had it at one of the Disneyland Hotels.
I wanted a Halloween wedding. Darn me for listening to all those who talked me out of it! lol
Anyone remember the movie Steel Magnolias? They have that Halloween themed wedding shower? I think that might be where I first got the idea.

Yep Arizona wedding...All 3 of my grown up kids live in the Phoenix area they spent alot of growing up there and don't mind the heat as much as I do. I prefer even a winter like this one to 122 degree summers LOL.
We have 2 Divas in Phoenix. Stacie/stacielee and Heather/LittleBlackRaincloud.
I know what you mean about the heat. It gets really hot here in Vegas too, but it does seem that Phoenix can get even hotter than us sometimes!
I have to say though, I hate humidity so I'd take a 102 degree day in Vegas over an 85 degree day in Florida any time!

It's near the Oregon border.
Thanks. I thought maybe it was way up in northern CA somewhere.

Nice! :) I only have the CM vinylmation figure. I got it from Company D last year because a friend took me there to get DL tickets for my family. I collect blind box Domo figures and some Disney pins but that's about it. :)

Literally just home from work so I did a quick scan through of what I missed but ...

Sarah and I were saying that we wished you had come because they had some of the vinylmations there :) She ended up buying a case of them because it was half off.

:scared1: Now I'm really mad that I didn't. I need more and I do not want to pay full price, lol. Gosh darnit all.

My Vinylmation addiction is ... well, it just is.

I don't have a very big collection of Vinylmations (yet :rolleyes1) because I am the only Disney fan in my house and they don't want my junk - er, prized possessions ;) spreading out too far around the house (well, except my Mickey aprons that everyone who comes here loves!). I try to keep it contained to my office, which we just renovated and now I have more room for "displaying" my artwork :thumbsup2

My vinylmation collection consists of 3. I wanted the monkey one and I bought 3 and one of them was the monkey! There are some mighty cute collections coming out though, don't know if I'll be able to resist!

Sherri, I'm trying to answer your question but when I 'quote' only part of your post shows up.
Yes I go to the reunion meets in Simi. They just had the Vegas trip last month but I didn't go to it. The Simi meets are twice a year now, it's better that way because when they had them every other month they had low turnouts. The last one in Oct. had over 300. The next won't have as many because a lot of people just check it out and if they don't see any school friends there they don't come back, so we gain a few and lose a few.
Are you signed up with the Simi Valley Alumni Group? Maybe I'll see you at the next meet. I'm not sure of the date yet.

I should take a photo of all the Vinylmations I have, it's actually quite a lot now that I think about it.

Yes, please :thumbsup2 They are so cute. I have more pins than the figures right now, but that's for now ;)

I'd like to see it. Although I think I am one of the few who don't really "get" the vinylmations appeal. Which is probably just as well because the last thing I need is something else to want to spend $$$ on! lol

You know, for the longest time I hated them. Then they came out with this Animation series and I just fell in love which spiraled into my semi-obsession. I was really, really, really bad on buying them and I need to refrain from buying anymore for some time.

Awww....I think collecting Disney stuff is fun. :) My family is not really into it either. In fact, my mom asks when I will "grow up" because she thinks Disney is childish. It used to bother me when I heard comments like this but not anymore. It's something I enjoy and I don't want anyone to take that away from me. My little sister does like it but not as much as I do. :rotfl: I have Domo and Disney on my desk at work, I have some Disney prints framed throughought my house. I have a few Jim Shore figures and I have Classic Pooh items I collected over the years. I should post a pic.

Aww..that's awesome you got a vinyl figure you wanted :) I was ecstatic to get some Domo chaser figures in the blind boxes. They are coming out with a Series 3 of them in April and I'm scared! I'm going to want to buy a whole case! Eek! :scared1:

Yes! Very cool, would love to see it :) Sarah was telling me how people are trying to get that Buzz vinylmation figure. Apparently since Buzz has a helmet on, people tend to feel if the box is heavy (we both tried and could not tell the difference! lol). They also try to poke the sizes of the box and they try to stick their finger in to feel for the helmet.

I think it's cool that you can at least trade away ones you don't like or duplicates :) I never got into collecting them but some are really cute. I debated over buying the nerd vinylmations of Chip N' Dale. They are so cute but I resisted! lol

People drive me crazy! Buzz is the last of the TS series that I need. Right now I have a couple of random ones I want to trade for as well as the 3 elephants I'm missing, but those will take me some time as they are rarer and worth more generally. I also want the 3 CM Vinyls (Voluntears, Pie-Eyed Mickey, and Ambassador). One of my favorites that I have is the AP Exclusive, Mr. Toad.

I agree with you Beth. Some of them are kind of creepy.

Ugh...here I sit trying to do my final for Monday & what is it??? A damn informative speech on anything. Guess what for the life of my I can't think of anything........grrrrrrr...........But thank God finals are next week.
Then Spring break. Hopefully fingers crossed I get in to WSU or CWU for Psych or Soc. Nursing is on hold for a while. Its too demanding & with a baby it will be even more challenging. Ok enough blogginess for me...on to your regularly scheduled program......

You can trade them, just like the pins? Wow I never knew that. That is pretty cool!

As if my life weren't exciting and fun filled enough....just got notification from the pediatrician that Riley (my middle child, age 14) has tested positive for Influenza B! :scared1: And this weekend we were going to do a big dinner with family and friends for Zoe's bday. My mom and step dad left immediately. She has heart and blood pressure issue, so we wanted to get her out asap. Lots of fun all the way around! grrrrr!

The trading isn't as readily available as pins are. A few shops scattered around have a clear trading box with 3 Vinyls in it that you can trade for (1 for 1). But they are usually a cruddy selection. There is also a mystery box where you trade one of your and pick a number and are surprised by what you get. I'm part of a Vinylmation forum as well and we do a lot of trades through there. I've managed to trade for just about everything I wanted so far.
