I agree with you Beth. Some of them are kind of creepy.

Ugh...here I sit trying to do my final for Monday & what is it??? A damn informative speech on anything. Guess what for the life of my I can't think of anything........grrrrrrr...........But thank God finals are next week.
Then Spring break. Hopefully fingers crossed I get in to WSU or CWU for Psych or Soc. Nursing is on hold for a while. Its too demanding & with a baby it will be even more challenging. Ok enough blogginess for me...on to your regularly scheduled program......

I gave an informative speech on Wednesday night...it was horrible. :sad2: I did mine on K-12 funding. Others did: obesity, budget crisis, water supply shortage, Native American tribe and Nicaragua. I hope you find a topic you like soon!

Sending out goodvibes that you get accepted to one of those schools! :goodvibes

Tsunami's (topical)
How Walt Disney turned initial failure into fortune
Cheryl's Lawyer Voice and how it trips up voicemail systems
How a sandwich came to be (Earl playing poker)
What about a cooking demo of something?

As if my life weren't exciting and fun filled enough....just got notification from the pediatrician that Riley (my middle child, age 14) has tested positive for Influenza B! :scared1: And this weekend we were going to do a big dinner with family and friends for Zoe's bday. My mom and step dad left immediately. She has heart and blood pressure issue, so we wanted to get her out asap. Lots of fun all the way around! grrrrr!

Awww...how scary! I hope she is okay and feels better! :grouphug:

Awww....I think collecting Disney stuff is fun. :) My family is not really into it either. In fact, my mom asks when I will "grow up" because she thinks Disney is childish. It used to bother me when I heard comments like this but not anymore. It's something I enjoy and I don't want anyone to take that away from me.
Good for you, Rochelle. :thumbsup2

Yes, they kinda scare me! :scared1:

A speech on anything? Well, I had some ideas but....not sure they are appropriate. :rolleyes1
Good luck with finals and I hope you get the schools you want! :wizard:

I have to admit I don't really know what that means. Um, but it doesn't sound good. Is it a form of the flu?? Well, in any case, I hope she is better soon and no one else gets it!!

How a sandwich came to be (Earl playing poker)
Now you're making me want to head down to Earl of Sandwich!! Mmmmm.

People drive me crazy! Buzz is the last of the TS series that I need. Right now I have a couple of random ones I want to trade for as well as the 3 elephants I'm missing, but those will take me some time as they are rarer and worth more generally. I also want the 3 CM Vinyls (Voluntears, Pie-Eyed Mickey, and Ambassador). One of my favorites that I have is the AP Exclusive, Mr. Toad.

I hope you find the Buzz one :) I saw some boxes with dents on the sides from people trying to search for it. The CM Ambassador is the only one I have.

Afternoon all. Just got back from work/the lunch and it was a really nice time. It was Paris themed and really cute. I posted some pics on FB for those that are on there. The food was really yummy and it was nice to get out and get to do something for a change. We even got a champagne toast which was fun (eventhough I don't normally drink but I made an exception ;) )

Beth as to your question about Mickey's halloween party at DW the answer is yes. We went to our first one in 05 and that is what got me hooked. I actually prefer their version to DL's but since I can't get back there very much I like to go to DL's as well and am anxious to see how the one AT DL compares this year!! We went as I said to DW in 05 and then to the one in DCA in 07 and then again in 09. We also did the MVMCP at DW in 08 but we got rained out so not sure if I like that or not. It is really hard to tell when half the stuff was cancelled but it seems like I like the halloween one better just from what was offered.

So glad to hear that everyone who is near the various coasts seems to be ok. It is just still so sad to hear about all the stories.

My dad's brother has a son who lives in Maui (my cousin) and he could not call about because all the phone lines were down but he was able to e-mail my uncle this morning and said that although the waves were about 9 feet that they were all ok and no real damage or any injuries. I was worried about him because Hawaii is so much closer to Japan. I also have a female cousin that lives on the big Island but I am sure she is probably ok as well.

Anyway Shane is working a side job this weekend and mom knew that we haven't been able to do much lately so she gave me some cash so that the girls and I could get out and do something. So we are going to go out and try and enjoy the nice weather while it lasts and maybe take in a movie tomorrow. We haven't seen a movie or even rented one in I don't know HOW long so I am really looking forward to it!!!

Rain is supposed to come back on Sunday and last all next week. I am def ready for spring!!

Well I am off to watch my tivo of csi from last night. Don't chat too much!! ;)

Have a nice evening and I am sure I will check in later on.

P.S. Michelle I hope Riley feels better!

OMG! did you guys see that 69,000 people had to spend the night in Tokyo Disneyland because they couldn't get out? Transportation was down and even those with cars couldn't get out of the parking lots because they buckled. It would be nice to spend the night at Disneyland but not like that!

So glad to see the planning has started. I must be going through withdrawls since I just read page 1-30 in one sitting.

I am so glad to say Katelyn will turn 18 on the 13th of February and will get to come!!! I am sooo excited. It will be a surprise for her and won't know until we get to the airport.

I am also going to be at Disneyland for Halloween this year. I work with a lady who is just as disney crazy as I and lost her husband over a year ago to cancer and hasn't been able to get out of the funk so on Wednesday me and another lady jumped on line with her at lunch and booked a package and paid for it. I have not seen her smile or so giddy in along time. I am hoping I am able to get tickets to the Halloween party for us too. I am making her a count down for the office this weekend and plan to do little things each week to keep excited.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I saw the pics, cute!

I'm eager to see how the one at DL compares too. It has to be better then when it was at DCA. I didn't care for that one too much at all.

Glad to hear your family in Hawaii is ok!

Have fun at the movies. What are you going to see? I want to see Red Riding Hood and The Adjustment Bureau. Let me know what you end up seeing and how you like it.

I read that. Crazy. Did you see the link Trudi posted? It has some pics.

Oh Deb, I have an idea for your speech. And no, it's not a naughty one. What about the history of Halloween and/or various Halloween traditions around the world? Since you are also a Halloween fan, doing that research would be fun. Just a thought. :)

Hi Patty! Good to see you back on the DIS! ;)

That's very cool that Katelyn will be able to join us next year. And how fun that you are going to surprise her!!

Also what a nice thing you are doing for your coworker. Sounds like it was just what she needed. She's lucky to have good friends to look out for her happiness like that.

Hi Ladies!
You all are too chatty for me to keep up with.

Capri, hope your feeling better!
Deb, good luck with your speech. Can't you inform them on how to plan a great Disney vacation?
Rochelle, I didn't see the nerdy vinylmations, or I would probably have been sucked in. I think they are really cool, but I am opposed to paying $10 per when there are so many to buy! My oldest son bought one last year, but he doesn't seem to need any more of them.

And while we are on the topic ...I just love the nerd line.

Happy Birthday to Callie! Hope you are doing something really fun:woohoo:

And one other question...have the photopass PM's gone out, because I have not gotten one:)

Well, I officially have no disney vactions planned, so nothing to work on. Bill has applied for a job in Italy that would last for two years, so a trip to Disney Paris may be in my future at some point. But I certainly can't plan it yet. I will try to be patient:)

Hate when the multi-quote doesn't work!!

Deb, do you still have my cell phone number? We'll be in the parks April 8 & 9, then at MouseAdventure on the 10th.

Sherri, yes, Heather and I are in Phoenix (actually Peoria & Glendale). It would be cool to meet up when you're here.

Can't remember what else I was going to say!!

Hope everyone is safe!!

Hi Everyone!

Glad everyone is safe today.

Welcome to the Newbie(s)

The picture at Company D....WOW! I saw one pre-shopping. They must love it when Jill brings in the Divas. The daily sales go through the roof! I want to shop that way in there but then I remember I have to get it home. lol

Have a great weekend!

Just bring down clothes you want to get rid of anyway, then you have an empty suitcase for coming home - easy, peasy :thumbsup2

WendyLou & Cheryl~ Thanks for the ideas.
Beth~ I am scared of what you would suggest...:rolleyes1

I think the Nerd line is growing on me. Steph & I were wondering & talking about it all wknd!
I love Italy. I want to go there so bad!

I will check, I think I do. I am too lazy to erase numbers once they get added to my phone book. Also you never know when you are going to need to text someone.

I like the way you think!

Here is a pic of what they look like:

For those who are curious, this is what some shops in the parks have. You have to pick a # at random and you don't know which one you will get. It reminds me of playing the price is right! I choose door #2!!

I want Chip and Dale!! I kept myself form buying them while I was there. Stupid move though since I can't use my AP discount at DS.com and then I have to pay shipping on top of that. Oh well, lol.
