"Diva" Trip - "Cliff Notes" p.236 OLD THREAD!

Well, I officially have no disney vactions planned, so nothing to work on. Bill has applied for a job in Italy that would last for two years, so a trip to Disney Paris may be in my future at some point. But I certainly can't plan it yet. I will try to be patient

I have no Disney vacations planned either. Well, other than the next ladies trip, lol, but that's so far away. What I'd love to do is plan one for October for Halloweentime. I really want to check out the party, and dress up. Hopefully if there is a mini meet at that time, I can take the bus down for one day. We'll see.

Thanks everyone, I'm feeling much better today. It was some 24 hour stomach bug or something. If there is a silver cloud in it all, at least it only came out one way and not the other, and I may have lost a pound or two. The bad part was I spent most of the day on my knees staring into a toilet. TMI - I'm a sharer.

Holy Cow......I give you ladies a 4 day head start & come home to find the old thread closed & a new one at 31 pages already!!! Whew......just did me some speed reading!

Thank you to all the ladies that planned, organized, participated & welcomed us newbies into the flock!! What a memorable weekend with some beautiful people!! It was great to finally meet so many of you that I've chatted with over the last 2+ years. I'm sorry that I was somewhat out of it, I had no clue that being away from home would hit that hard......but it did get better day by day & by the time Mike arrived I was feeling pretty good. Next time, I'll be better prepared!!

I will upload pics to the Shutterfly account sometime this weekend & also start the trip report. Might even get some pics up on FB if things are going good.

Came home last night to a house full of sickies! Guess they wanted to welcome me back by getting down & dirty first thing......lol Found my house today, after digging thru everything.....yikes....that's the worst part about leaving 3 young adult men at home to take care of the place!

Ok, just wanted to check in & will be back soon.....but now it's time for me to get the twins to bed........later!!!

People drive me crazy! Buzz is the last of the TS series that I need. Right now I have a couple of random ones I want to trade for as well as the 3 elephants I'm missing, but those will take me some time as they are rarer and worth more generally. I also want the 3 CM Vinyls (Voluntears, Pie-Eyed Mickey, and Ambassador). One of my favorites that I have is the AP Exclusive, Mr. Toad.

I have around 30 of the VM pins, and I wouldn't go as far as to say that I collect the figures but I have around 12-15 of them.

Like you, my absolute fave that I have is the Mr. Toad. And, I am lucky enough to have the Buzz one. My other fave in my collection is the Mickey Ice Cream bar. The one I really want but don't have is the Ariel.

This will be quick as I'm exhausted from this week.

I did end up buying the Nerd Mickey Mouse T-Shirt, I couldn't resist. I also purchased 2 of the Nerd Vinylmations. I hinted (a lot) to Josh that I would love the rest of them when we're on vacation next month. Hopefully it will work, otherwise I'll buy them. They are cute.

Well, I have been lurking these Dis Diva threads long enough, that I wanted to introduce myself and say hello. I look forward to getting to know you all.

My name is Amy. I live in Washington State. I am 35, not married, but been with the love of my life for 13 years. We have a wonderful Dog that is the apple of our eyes. We have no kiddos, but spoil my niece and nephew as if they were our own. I am a shy person by nature but also love to have fun, and I enjoy getting to know others, but most of all I love to laugh.

I love Disneyland and all things Disney. I have been to Disneyland too many times to count. My most recent trip was Feb 12-19, with my mom, sister, niece and nephew. We go as a family about every 2 years. We had an incredible trip, and are already planning our next one! My boyfriend and I are also planning a trip for this November, he has never been, and finally has agreed to go. I am truly looking forward to experiencing Disneyland with him and without any kids along.

It has been so much fun reading all your posts, you are an extremely great group of ladies (very funny too!), I look forward to getting to know you.

I hope that I will be able to attend the next diva trip, and maybe bring my mom and sister along. They are some great Divas too

I have not posted much on the disboards, just read/researched, so I am learning my way around posting.

I just have to say a big thank-you to Rochelle!! A package arrived at my house today, completely out of the blue. It was from her and she sent me some goodies with a sweet postcard saying how she was sorry I missed the trip, and just wanted to send a little pixie dust my way.

There were candies, nail polish, lip gloss, hair accessories, and a cute Tink tote.

Thank you so much Rochelle for your thoughtfulness. It really put a smile on my face.

I live about 2 hours north of Seattle, in Bellingham, a town about 20 minutes from the Canadian border. I am very excited to take him, he is also excited after seeing scrapbook after scrapbook of my trips! We are watching videos and looking at maps so he can get the lay of the land and stuff. I just have to remember to let him enjoy it his way and not go all commando on him while we are there I also love the Christmas decorations, and there is nothing better than the snow on Main Street

As if my life weren't exciting and fun filled enough....just got notification from the pediatrician that Riley (my middle child, age 14) has tested positive for Influenza B! And this weekend we were going to do a big dinner with family and friends for Zoe's bday. My mom and step dad left immediately. She has heart and blood pressure issue, so we wanted to get her out asap. Lots of fun all the way around! grrrrr!

We have 2 Divas in Phoenix. Stacie/stacielee and Heather/LittleBlackRaincloud.
I know what you mean about the heat. It gets really hot here in Vegas too, but it does seem that Phoenix can get even hotter than us sometimes!
I have to say though, I hate humidity so I'd take a 102 degree day in Vegas over an 85 degree day in Florida any time!

I am really excited and my daughter is "saving" alot of the details and won't tell me until I get there GRRR!

You couldn't pay me to live in Florida I have been there once on a non-Disney trip and 2 of my shirts molded hanging in the closet YUCK!

Sherri, I'm trying to answer your question but when I 'quote' only part of your post shows up.
Yes I go to the reunion meets in Simi. They just had the Vegas trip last month but I didn't go to it. The Simi meets are twice a year now, it's better that way because when they had them every other month they had low turnouts. The last one in Oct. had over 300. The next won't have as many because a lot of people just check it out and if they don't see any school friends there they don't come back, so we gain a few and lose a few.
Are you signed up with the Simi Valley Alumni Group? Maybe I'll see you at the next meet. I'm not sure of the date yet.

Yep I am signed up! The last 3 trips when I went to either Cali or AZ and could have attended the meet I missed it by a week or two every time

Ugh...here I sit trying to do my final for Monday & what is it??? A damn informative speech on anything. Guess what for the life of my I can't think of anything........grrrrrrr...........But thank God finals are next week.
Then Spring break. Hopefully fingers crossed I get in to WSU or CWU for Psych or Soc. Nursing is on hold for a while. Its too demanding & with a baby it will be even more challenging. Ok enough blogginess for me...on to your regularly scheduled program......

Sherri, yes, Heather and I are in Phoenix (actually Peoria & Glendale). It would be cool to meet up when you're here.

I'm sure we could meet up and do lunch or something my daughter does have to go to work so I won't be doing wedding stuff every minute LOL! I lived in Mesa for 13 years and there are lots of things I like to do when I visit so I am sure we can figure out something fun.

So glad to see the planning has started. I must be going through withdrawls since I just read page 1-30 in one sitting.

I am so glad to say Katelyn will turn 18 on the 13th of February and will get to come!!! I am sooo excited. It will be a surprise for her and won't know until we get to the airport.

I am also going to be at Disneyland for Halloween this year. I work with a lady who is just as disney crazy as I and lost her husband over a year ago to cancer and hasn't been able to get out of the funk so on Wednesday me and another lady jumped on line with her at lunch and booked a package and paid for it. I have not seen her smile or so giddy in along time. I am hoping I am able to get tickets to the Halloween party for us too. I am making her a count down for the office this weekend and plan to do little things each week to keep excited.

Patty, I just have to commend you for doing this for your co-worker. That could be me! You know I lost my DH last year to cancer and I sure relied and counted on the friendship and love of my fellow divas quite a bit. And the funk may last a long time. It's just so touching when women jump in to help each other out of difficult times. I look forward to spending some time with you and Katie next year. I am planning an Oct trip and hope it's when others are coming too.

But glad you are feeling better Capri. I forgot about your nightly "coffee with a nudge" until you ordered it at Napa Rose. Don't worry girls, none of us knew what a "nudge" was either, but it had whipped cream on it so it must be good.
