Pic of me and my backpack:

I'm 5'10 and usually wear a 12/large, and I had to tighten the straps up a bit for the backpack to fit on my back.

I'm not sure where on the messenger bags people are having tearing - maybe the pocket that holds the cell phone is coming away from the main part of the bag?

Anyway, the backpack has these compartments:

-two side mesh pockets for water bottles/sippy cups, whatever.
-small zipper 1/2 pocket under the sewing - this is where you can put your cell phone, and it is exactly like the messenger bag - so I guess there is a chance that it can tear, since others have experienced tearing, but this part zips close, so maybe if it tore it wouldn't be as big of a deal? There is also a white keychain holder attached to the inside part of this bag with a white coil.
-zippered compartment where sewing is has 2 divided mesh pockets with open tops. This is similar to the pocket where the cell phone goes, so again, I guess tearing is possible.
-main zippered compartment - the biggest - this is where Disney has the changing pad at. has the 2 divided mesh pockets with open top and also a small zippered mesh pocket. Again, similar to the pocket with the cell phone, again, I guess it can tear.

Hooray! My kids' messenger bags arrived today and are so cute! I just had the characters (Donald and Aurora) embroidered without a name, and they are so cute! They will be perfect carryons for the kids' toys and snacks for the plane. I was very impressed. I hope the inside stuff doesn't rip like other peoples' have, but as long as the basic bag is ok...

And I ordered my backpack today, too...I think it will be perfect!

Here are my pictures of the lunch bag. It's small. It's perfect for me. I just need it to leave a sandwich or something small like that in my car while I'm in class. I don't think you can tell from the pictures but it has a strap that you attach so you can carry it over your shoulder like a purse or tote bag. The side unzippers fully, but has two zipper pulls so you could only unzip the top if you wanted to reach in without totally unzipping it.

I put a chap stick next to it so you could see how deep it is. On the inside picture I put my glass case and a 12 ounce propel bottle in there so you could judge the size. This is smaller than the propel I usually buy which is a 16.9 once bottle. This is a fairly short, 12 ounce, bottle of propel (like the size of a can of pop).

The larger one seems to be pretty strong. I'm sure if you catch the mess pockets on something they will tear. I carry alot of useless things in my bag making it pretty heavy and it does not seem to be pulling anywhere. My old bag (non Disney) was straining right away. I will be careful with the velcro, now that I have been warned.

Mine's all packed for the trip tomorrow - can't wait. I bought some extra velcro buttons & have attached them to the first inside pocket for some added closure. Depending on the weather the rest of the week I'll know how well they handle the heavier packing (umbrella, extra shoes, etc).

I ordered two last week, one for myself and the other for my BFF as a gift. They arrived here today at work and one of my co-workers and I are really trying to figure out where they're could possibly be falling apart from. We've pulled and tugged to see how strong the bag itself is and we feel like the bag will hold up fairly well. I don't understand where some of the last few posters have said they've fallen apart at after one or two days of carrying pretty light weight items.

Like others have said after they received them-they are a bit bigger than I expected and they seem like they're pretty good quality. I'm hoping that mine not only hold up during our trip but a while after that. We're not due to leave for another 3 weeks, so I'll let you guys know how the hold up.

If you open the bag and the first nylon pouches you see (where the cell phone holer is ) are actually ripping away from the lining of the stitching which then causes a chain effect and frays the rest of the lining. The outter bag is not ripping but the actual black lining is. I am just saying bring a back up bag just in case. I have called and am returning ours. I know they were only $15 but should have lasted longer than a couple hours.

I ordered the messenger bag for myself, but for my daughters I ordered the lunch tote. It is a perfect size for them and has a shoulder strap as well. It seems to be more sturdy than the messenger and water proof on top of that. They have yet to carry lunches in the bags, they are using them as tote bags. The girls really like their Disney bags and they are 20, 16 and 12.

We got ours today and they are SUPER cute! Just looking at them, I can see where they might rip or not last.... I'm still very happy w/ them and for adorable personalized DISNEY bags, I don't think you can beat $9.xx. Of course, my Overland Donner came at the same time so I was comparing the 2 as far as quality/size/etc.... (got a great deal on it from Sierra Trading - yeah!). I don't think we'll be using it as our main park bag, but may take our Red Mickey one as the second bag (dh's b/c I'll use the Donner) w/ snacks, ponchos, extra clothes for the kids just in case, etc.... I'll pack the kids' w/ surprises for the trip down and they will be soooo exited to get them!

Yep... Not your fault. I'm glad you told us about them. I love mine!!! My kids love theirs too. It was totally worth the $9.00. I can't wait to use them. I just know to be a little careful with the velcro. No big deal!!

I love mine, and so far it has been holding up pretty well. It is my favorite of all my park bags (APers so we go just about every week= lots of bags looking for just the right one)

if anyone is interested avon has a mickey bag and it was definetly flimsier than the disney store bags and more expensive..i think for the cost of the bags they are well constructed..with anything you use alot or overstuff the most expensive of bags would rip.

These are great! After my last trip I decided that I really didn't like the backpack method and wished I had taken my messenger bag. This one is much better with all the extra compartments.
