Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

Hi, please add us to Be Our Guest. We will be at the YC (garden view)for the first time 10/2-4 for F&W. It will be just DH and I for a little "us" time and meet-up with Florida friends.

I'm aware that room requests are just that. Is there a room or area that is preferable? Please let me know.
Thanks!

Since you are there for F&W, I would ask for a room close to EPCOT.

Hi! We will have our first BC stay October 28 - November 1. We just got back from WDW. Spent June 4-12 at Poly. We had such a great time that we wanted to plan another trip. I thought we would try an Epcot resort this time and BC looks like a great place. We can't wait!
You will love BC, especially end of October for F&W. We did a split stay BC/Poly last October and had a blast.:cheer2: Enjoy Stormalong Bay, my favorite pool!:beach:

53 Days out... just realized I can start the online check in process!

The address they have on the system is my travel agents address, not my own (its a US agent, I live in the UK). - Do I need to change it, or leave it as it is?

In the Room & Amenity requests, do I just make sure it matches exactly what I typed in our touring plans fax request?

Once I've done this, will I need to do anything else closer to the time? We wont have our magic bands due to being from the UK, so we'll need to go to front desk at check in anyway...

Not liking the netting to be honest. I could live with the ropes but this might just push it over the edge. Would love to see a shot of our Beach from anyone there now.

I would bet that these are not permanent. I would think that this is temporary and Disney will "theme" permanent fencing in the near future, to match each resort/area. Just an assumption on my part.

This thread was very helpful when I was planning our stay at BC (last week). While I was there, I took a couple of pictures for you guys.

First, they now have specialty fries on the menu at Beaches & Cream! I had the ones with cheese and candied bacon and onions. They were delicious! They were supposed to have ranch as well, but I ordered them without the ranch.

Second, we had a standard room. They gave us 3711 (had a daybed) on the third floor. Since a lot of people ask what a standard view is like, I took pictures.

And lastly, people often ask where the standard/garden/water view rooms are located. I was able to get pictures of the map they had at the front desk. The 'Floor' titles are added by me.

Hope this information helps people out!

ETA I'm not sure why the floor plan images are so small. I have the pictures much bigger. @natebenma, if you want the full images, I can email them to you.

We just got back from our stay and we were also in a SV room. We were VERY close to you. We were in 3675. The last view picture is looking right at our room. Corner behind the yellow thing. We actually loved it!! Very quiet. No connecting door. And when looking to the left you could see SAB.

helenb...best post ever! I have been looking for something like this. I am staying deluxe room congierge next year and was trying to verify if there were only 6 rooms in that category....there are. thank you

Another :thanks::flower3:to Helenb for the updated room maps. This has really helped me wrap my head around the logistics the resort staff have to work with! You are an:littleangel: for sharing these with us :grouphug: Now you have put a big smile on my face again knowing there are lots of options in our future room request:thumbsup2 Now if only our printer was working I'd be on :cloud9: You know what? I actually like the new fences with the netting it looks very in keeping with the theme of the resort, after all isn't it also down at the boat dock where you board the friendship boats? I know I've seen it before this year for sure, maybe some of it was over at the WL.

How funny! We were there from June 20-25. So perhaps if you had been out on your balcony, I might have had you in my photo! ;)

I'm glad the map pictures are so helpful to everyone! Hopefully someone can take their camera to the YC front desk and get images of their maps!

I agree. They came out and said as much....buuuttttt....knowing Disney's construction timelines we'll be looking at them to be ready 2021.

So I have been desperately missing the BC since we got back at the beginning of the month and Monday I found a candle that smells JUST like the lobby and of course had to order it right away! Well its came today and I have to say the smell is point on! Now I'm sitting in my office as it burns... If I close my eyes really tight... Its like I'm HOME!!!
Where did you get the candle from Ddm?
