Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

This thread was very helpful when I was planning our stay at BC (last week). While I was there, I took a couple of pictures for you guys.
SNIP!

And lastly, people often ask where the standard/garden/water view rooms are located. I was able to get pictures of the map they had at the front desk. The 'Floor' titles are added by me.

Hope this information helps people out!

ETA I'm not sure why the floor plan images are so small. I have the pictures much bigger. @natebenma, if you want the full images, I can email them to you.

This map is like the holy grail of the thread! Thanks for taking the time to do this!

has anyone used touring plans having a hard time finding a full balcony and day bed for BC CL Water view thanks this is for next month!!

I have found their room finder tool to be extremely inaccurate when it comes to room types, room amenities, etc. So much so I stopped using it or recommending it over a year ago.

WOW!!!

Thanks for the other stuff you posted about, but NO FREAKING WAY!!!

Like ~Ninjamom said, this is the holy grail! Actually more like the Loch Ness monster- people claimed it existed but nobody has been able to get a decent picture.

Thank you!

Yes, please I would love for you to email it to me. beachclubdee at yahoo.

Thanks again! You made my night and gave me the second best piece of news I have heard tonight.

It is a small, scary world.

My good friend's 17 year old son was at the Istanbul airport this morning. He is traveling with her brother and his family and she just found out a couple of hours ago that they are all safe. I get worried when Nate is out with friends. I can't imagine what it was like for her to hear the news of what happened there today and not be in contact with him right away.

Thank goodness! Our thoughts and prayers with them and all those affected there. But nice to hear some good news.

If anyone is there and can take pictures of the current room maps of the Yacht Club that would be much appreciated!

Glad everyone can use this! I know it is something I would have found useful before my trip. They had them at the front desk, and they showed them to me when I checked in. Toward the end of our stay, I went to the front desk to add Disney GCs to our account, and the lady had to process each one separately, so it took a long time. While she was occupied, I just pulled out my camera and took pictures!

I'm sure someone could do this for Yacht Club as well.

We never had an issue with ducks at YC during our stay there three years ago. We did however have issues. With them at the boat dock at MK for the WL boats!! A family of ducks assaulted guests regularly over there and snatched a cupcake out of my hands ( covered up but I guess they knew) that I was trying to take back to our room:crazy:They are nasty little birds when they don't get what they expect. We don't feed them and neither did anyone else, so at least we know the signs saying don't feed the birds was understood and adhered to. I like to see the ducks and often get over to Tom Sawyers Island and use the bird feeders there to feed those ones with appropriate bird seed. Best advice is leave them alone and appreciate them for being themselves.
This is terrifying!! I'm deathly afraid of birds! :sad2:

So glad they are all OK! I can't imagine not knowing and waiting. I had enough trouble waiting to hear from my daughter when she used to drive back and forth to college, 6 hours away.

First, they now have specialty fries on the menu at Beaches & Cream! I had the ones with cheese and candied bacon and onions. They were delicious! They were supposed to have ranch as well, but I ordered them without the ranch.

Second, we had a standard room. They gave us 3711 (had a daybed) on the third floor. Since a lot of people ask what a standard view is like, I took pictures.

Oh Dee. I am glad to hear they are safe.

Stayed at the BC this week. Such a beautiful resort. We did not get our room request but oh well we managed. We requested a lower floor close to an elevator but got 3rd floor not very close to the elevator with one of the tiny balconies. We still had a good time and loved the pool!

We are staying at the Yacht club from 1/2/2017-1/9/2017. My wife is running the Dopey Challenge and she wanted to stay somewhere close to the finish line so that she could get to the hotel a little quicker to shower/nap/relax. :)

This is the best map ever! Thank you so much. Everyone alsways wants to know where their room might be located, so this will help a lot. I am surprised at all the standard view rooms that face SAB, but otherwise most of the room assignments are what I expected. :)

Please add us back to the list Dee--just got our BCV studio in place for May 11-19, 2017, but first a little interlude with BWV in October. ;)

:welcome: back!

I'll add you to the list.

:cool1:

I'm still weighing up hire car vs uber everywhere... If you use uber to get to the parks, do you have to pay a parking fee or anything to get them to drop you off close to the park?

No parking charge if you are using Uber. You will not be able to get close to MK by Uber or Taxi. Only buses go directly to the gates. Cars can drop you off at the TTC and you have to take the ferry or monorail to the gates. You may be able to get dropped off at the Contemporary resort and walk in.
