Seriously. Not trying to be a smart aleck. What is such a big deal about purple bands? Am I missing something?

Purple was really the only (traditional, "rainbow") color that hasn't been offered from the beginning. I think purple has a very strong following as a favorite color across ages and sexes.
This is the first (i believe)update to the complimentary offerings since magic bands were debuted so it's exciting.

Edit to add, for those that have a large number of bands or a collection, this is one that they need to add in order to be complete again.

We're baaaack!!! After finally trying the Yacht Club last August we fell in love with the boardwalk area and are now booked again for June 25 - July 2 in a YC SV Club Level room. Woohoo!! Very excited!

My kids and I have been to WDW many times over the past 12 years and this time we're going to be joined by my sister and niece. This will be their first trip to WDW and I am really looking forward to experiencing this trip with them and their new and fresh look at everything inside the Disney Bubble!

Hello everyone! I'm sure this has been asked before, but just wondered the best way to get to Magolia golf course from the Beach Club? I was told that in CL they provide taxi vouchers, however I have read that this is no longer so.

I hadn't bothered getting a new band for my AP since I had others I could wear, but I just put in for a purple one.

We are experimenting with a moderate in April - Port Orleans Riverside on a *magical* deal. Hoping we will be able to renew APs and book another BC stay later this year. Wish us luck! My kids don't know yet and I hope they will be okay with it! I am raising picky children: they love good food and nice hotels. Heaven help their future boyfriends!

Yeah, the other colors will be standard and Purple (Magic Band) will be preferred and therefore cost $25 more.

I can't decide if I am going to get suckered into paying $$$ extra $$$ for the Purple Magic Band Dessert Party or if I will be duped/forced into paying for the Purple Magic Band Processional package (people wearing the purple band will be marched around the park in a processional like pattern. The low low price for this magical experience is $105.00 plus tax!).

Then there is always the Purple Magic Band Character breakfast. My children have not experienced posing with the dancing Purple Magic Band character nor do we have any blurry, out of focus, off center Memory Maker photos with the dancing Purple Magic bands.

Decisions, decisions, decisions!

PS. I too have reserved a (FINALLY) Purple Magic Band for my trip. When I finally get it I am going to place it at the top of my Christmas tree in place of the star and all the other magic bands that are circling the tree like a paper chain will be jealous.

If you have a car, you need to drive. If you have no car, you can taxi......or......

Bus to any park. Then Bus to Shades Of Green. Then walk to the pro shop. DO the reverse to get back.

DH and I stayed at POR last August and were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. The Alligator Bayou section reminded us a little of WL. Both have that rustic decor and woodsy feel.

My kids don't know yet and I hope they will be okay with it! I am raising picky children: they love good food and nice hotels. Heaven help their future boyfriends!

People said that about our daughters. It never stopped anyone from marrying them, though.

I am super excited to say that we will be having our first ever Deluxe stay in December (and our first CL stay as well). We are going over my birthday weekend and I couldn't think of a better time to mark an item off my Disney bucket list Our dates are December 2-6. Does anyone have a suggestion for a room request for standard club level? My daughter would be in heaven with a full balcony, but I don't know which rooms have that? Any suggestions would be appreciated. We booked a month ago, but I still haven't received anything from the CL IPO. Does anyone know if that is normal? Thanks for any help you can offer. I think I am more excited about our first stay at BC in December than I am over our first stay at Coronado this summer (though I know that both will be wonderful stays)!

Can anyone recommend a car service they've used and been happy with. We only need it on the way to the hotel - we'll take the bus on the way home.

Found info just now, directly on Disney's website, about transportation to their golf courses:

Transportation & Directions
Complimentary transportation via taxi is available to Guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels. You may request a ride at the Valet Desk or from Bell Services at select Resort hotels, and in the Pro Shop or from any golf operations staff members at the golf courses. Guests are advised to check with Guest Services or Concierges for any transportation options offered by their hotel. Golf Day Guests who wish to arrange their own transportation to the golf courses will find that there is no charge for parking at the golf course itself or when going through a Toll Plaza on the way to the golf courses.

We've used Tiffany Towncar a few times in Orlando.

I have heard good things about Tiffany Towncar, but have never used them.

My family has used Ed Korgan travel for several trips between MCO and Universal and Universal and WDW.

That's very sweet about your girls. Mine are only 14 and 11, so we have a long way to go.
