We will be there in two weeks! So excited! Does anyone know what the outdoor movie schedule is like? Is it every night or just a few times a week? What time does it usually start?

Googled and found this regarding the movie schedule but it's for April. Just click on the WL link....

Editing to add... Here's a .pdf 'Recreation Calendar' for April as well that could be helpful. I guess just wait a bit and maybe they'll update with May.

Also is territory lounge taking DDP since roaring forks is closed?

Thanks!

Here's a link to the current activities calender for April, but May will likely change. Movies are at the bottom. https://i0.wp.com/kennythepirate.com/wp-content/uploads/wl_recreation-1.jpg

ETA: Opps, duplicate post as @DLBDS

Since the Roaring Fork is closed does anyone know where you would go to refill the refillable mugs? Also is there anyplace that has a microwave for warming up bagels in the morning?
There is a refillable mug station at Geyser Point. I don't remember seeing a microwave for use by the guests.

I don't think we are on the list for our trip in 14 days! Our dates are May 7-14! So excited to get back to the Lodge. Haven't been to WDW since Sept of 2012. This is our daughters first trip and our 10 year anniversary. We have ressies at BOG for bfast at 8:05, what time should we catch the bus to MK? Also, what's the new security procedure now from the bus?

For those who have stayed at WL since the MK changed its security earlier this month - is there much of a difference, timeless, between getting through security from the bus vs. from the boat? I read on another thread that there are sometimes as many as 20 security lines open for the buses, and people breezed through, but I haven't read anything about the boats yet. But from the photos I saw, it looks like there is only 1 security line for everyone coming off the boat. Is that correct?
There are two security lines for the boats. We've had no wait for them but we haven't been on a fully loaded, standing room only big boat either. They move then through fast, from what we've seen

Did they get rid of the Woods View booking category? Not sure if it's a glitch on the website but I don't see it listed as an option at all?

Right now during construction there are only standard view and courtyard view. Eventually they plan to replant trees and the wood view category will probably come back.

Edit: Unless you are not in the US... Apparently some other countries still have wood view when booking

What is the typical room only discount for WL? I'm trying to price out a January 2018 trip and I'm wondering what the anticipated room-only discount will be. I called and booked a standard view room and the CM told me the discounts will be released "next month" but I'm trying to get an estimate of costs now. Thanks.

Hard to give a "typical" room only discount, they tend to vary. Last year's general public offer was 10-25%, although not sure what was offered at WL. FYI, the CM gave you incorrect information if they said Jan 2018 discounts would be released next month. January discounts aren't typically released until +/- September. They may have meant that 2018 room rates (rack rates) will be released soon, those will likely come out in June.

This is a great website for reference for these types of things: https://www.mousesavers.com/historical-information-on-walt-disney-world-resort-discounts/

Hope that helps!

That does help, thank you! Yes, she said to call back and have the discount added to my reservation when they're released "next month", but I know not to trust everything they tell us. We've booked a standard room at WL, I'd love a 20% room only discount or higher (not interested in Stay Play Dine discount) - I guess I just need to be patient :( Thanks again!!

We got 35% off with our AP discount for this upcoming trip. Typically we find get about 30% on average.

There is a refillable mug station at the new Geyser Point QS. I don't know about the microwave though.

I want to confirm what elaw said. We have traveled to WL many times in January and the general public discount is usually 30% and the annual passholder discount has always been 35%. We have also gotten a 37% discount through Orbitz for our January 2016 trip. We even had 35% AP discount on our March trip - and that was during the popular spring break period.

The January discounts usually come out around the beginning of October.
