There are two types of boats that go to MK and the CR/FW/WL loop. The larger boat will accommodate an ECV. The smaller launch will not hold one. The boats tend to alternate, so you may have to wait until the right boat arrives.I am sorry if this has been asked already, I didn't see this addressed when I skimmed through the thread pages. Question: Do the boats to Magic Kingdom and the Contemporary allow ECVs aboard?
Well they both have their advantages, AKL is quiet, remote and you really feel like you are away from the madness of the disney parks. I love their food court and of course you can't beat Boma !! I loved WL closeness to MK, the boat rides, availability of rental bikes and Bay Lake location. I am not a big fan of the WL food court, so often we would hope on the boat and hit the Contemporary Food Court or get the monorail to the Poly. WL Roaring Forks is so small for a hotel that size. My family would prefer to stay at AKL but momma won out and WL it is. I love the atmosphere and theming of the WL.We will be there mid September!!! Question...we usually stay at AKL and have switched to WL for the first time. You've done both. Which do you prefer?
60 days - Ive got up at 4.30 so I could do my online checkin and make fast pass + . The check in worked but I can't do the fast pass + not sure if its me or the system.
Im so frustrated, not sure if its me or the system!
-MDE has let me do the online checkin but when I go to Fast pass + the dates we are there are greyed out.
We have linked our tickets ( DVC 4 day member offer) - not sure what else to do
What do you recommend? Am I doing something wrong?
we really enjoyed trails end. We made a last minute reservation (one of few places that consistently had openings the day of for dinner), and wished we had discovered it earlier in our trip. Take time to explore a bit before dinner if you can. The barn, pony rides, a shop, and playground are all right near the restaurant.Thanks. I'm definitely considering Trail's End for dinner for our first night. We are sticking by the resort when we arrive, no parks that day, so I thought a nice ride over to Fort Wilderness would be a good laid back thing to do that night. Plus, the menu there is right up my family's alley.
we did not have a vegetarian meal, BUT we enjoyed a great allergy friendly meal prepared by chef T.J. T.J. Is the chef for Trail's End, and the two locations share a kitchen. He is actually best known for catering to vegetarians. I am sure he will take great care of you!Thinking of catching the Hoop-de-do show while there in October. Can anyone tell me how long it is and whether anyone has ever asked for a vegetarian meal?
So excited! We have booked our stay at the WL for 8/7 to 8/12 (then moving on to Cabanna Bay for a few days). We are going to be there for our 20th Anniversary. It is extra special since we honeymooned in Disney! I am excited to stay at WL since I haven't stayed in a Deluxe resort since 1978 and the rest of my family have never stayed in a Deluxe. I booked my Dining yesterday and I am still feeling the magic!

The only refill station is in Roaring Forks. It is conveniently located next to the main pool. It is also easy to grab a refill when going to and from the boats.I searched the thread, but couldn't find the answer so I'm sorry if this has been asked before.Where are the refill stations in WL? I've never stayed there before and I like to be prepared.
We booked our flight down for August 22nd, but the flights back up to New York on August 29th seem outrageously high, so we are waiting a bit on that. Southwest wasn't supposed to open up their schedule through August until next week, but it's already up and the nonstop flights that we would normally want are already sold out for the Wanna Get Away cheaper fares. Here is hoping the open more of those fares up or JetBlue's prices drop a bit. Our ADR window opens on 2/23 and I still have absolutely no idea about where we want to eat and when. I guess that's what I will be working on this weekend.
