Resort Thread Disney's POP CENTURY Resort

Hi, we’re looking at dates in January 2025. Any guesses as to the dates for the skyliner refurbishment in January 2025?

Just FYI we arrived at 1:30 am the calendar day after our reservation started. It was no problem at all. If I remember it right, there may have been something on the app where we entered our flight info but I don’t recall for sure. Anyway, they didn’t even bat an eye. Only problem was the place was dead quiet (pretty amazing), and absolutely nothing is open at that hour and I was starving!! Ordered McDonald’s via door dash thankfully and got to bed around 2:45 am.
Thank you for sending this. This will be similar to us!

It’s per delivery. So you get charged $6 if they accept/hold your grocery order.
So, if I ship some items to the hotel to be there for my arrival, will they hold until I get there? I dont mind a fee, just would like to send down some things that we dont want to lug through the airport.

December 21 we will not get to pop until around 1:30 am. We will be paying for the room starting December 20. Is there something we would do to let them know we will not get in until the next morning at 1:30 am
I would recommend calling and advising that you won't arrive until 1:30AM on the 21st. Pop will be running at capacity so you will want to ensure they still have a room for you when you arrive.

Is there anyone at Pop right now who might be able to provide an update on the Pop Food Court Refurbishment?

We did not have a definitive start or end date but I believe it should start soon and go through the end of September.

Update: Just found this on the Pop Century site. (Will update page 1)

From July 29 to September 29, 2024, the Everything POP Food Court will be undergoing refurbishment, but it will remain open for your convenience. During this period, we ask you to use mobile order in the My Disney Experience app to order food and drinks. Please note that you may need to use alternate entrances to access the food court, and dining room seating may be limited.

(Also, we have 2 reservations in August and did not receive an email for either of them. We also did not receive the offer to upgrade our room. Too bad! We'd love to try a different resort for the one night at the beginning of our reservation!!)

Thank you @scrappinginontario for the food court refurbishment update. My husband and I arrive at Pop October 27th and utilize the food court often and are not mobile order people. Looking forward to seeing the food court refresh. And thank you for all your great information and updates you give to this thread. I am always prepared for my Pop Century trips thanks to your hard work.

Yes please take time to call (407) 934-7639 provide the CM you Reservation number and ask to add a note to your reservation as to when you plan to arrive (1:30 AM on Dec 21st).

If you plan to do Online Check-in then you technically don't need to call since they only care if you don't physically enter your room before your second night.

We will arrive around 11 pm on our next trip. Does Pop give up your room if you don’t arrive by a certain time?

All hotels will, but it usually isn't until after Midnight. Most common I see is 3-4AM. This is because they will run all of the previous days information. Anyone not checked in by that point (and not noted that they have a late arrival) will be considered a no show and the reservation will be closed out.

We are staying at pop in August and currently have a standard room booked, we really want to stay in the 50s, is there a different room category that is more likely to make that happen or should I stay with a standard room? I thought about maybe booking a pool view room but really don't want to be in 90s. Any advice would be appreciated :)

If your only request is 50s, they should be able to accommodate that at check-in. 60s tend to be more popular.

Pool view isn’t beneficial for anything unless you just really want that.

You can request 50’s section but honestly, Pop runs at full capacity so there is no guarantees, even if you ask at the desk. They will do their very best to accommodate your request but, I would be prepared to be placed in another area too.

Another option is to be open to moving part way through your trip and request that they do that if possible.

One of the challenges with wanting the 50’s section is that it is one of 2 options available to request on the online check-in form so many request it.
