Resort Thread Disney's POP CENTURY Resort

See you there! 👋🏻

Yes. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash are still bottles attached to the wall. Personally I don’t ever see them changing from those.

Thanks - just trying to lighten the load of what I have to pack :) I have a basket of "must bring" stuff going, trying to do just 2 carry ons...not looking good!

Oh I’m not one to help you! We fly SW in part due to free baggage. We almost need carry-ons for our carry-ons on top of our 2 suitcases.

We really like the shampoo, conditioner and body wash at Pop.

Yeah, we were on Southwest until last week or so when I got frustrated with all the time changes and so I canceled it all and booked us on a non stop. So, now I am paying for luggage (and also the flights, which WERE free with my points on SW...I got frustrated and lost my frugality..).

I just looked and the airline is only $8 more for checked over carryon, only, so might just be worth it.

Me too scrappinginontario! Except, now I've moved within driving distance so I load up my mini-SUV and drive! When I was down for the wedding, I had 2 suitcases, 2 "carry-on" type bags, a cooler with snacks, a case of water, my dress for the wedding, and my Stanley (which I don't always take when I fly because it is heavy). I'm already planning for my Thanksgiving trip and I don't see packing any lighter (except no dress for the wedding.) :rotfl2:

We are flying Spirit to save money (PS: never again) and I thought maybe I could squeeze all of our stuff into one suitcase, since Spirit allows 50 pounds. We are only going for 4 nights/5 days.

After looking at our pile + Halloween costumes + all the stuff we will need for the August heat... I had to pay for another checked bag.

Thanks! We arrive in 3 weeks. Your plan is much like we’re thinking although we haven’t tried Riviera’s QS but will look into that. We have hopper tickets for 8/9 days but may add a 9th day. Would open up Epcot which is always a good option for QS we find.
Scrap, you simply MUST try Primo Piatto at the Riv. We are obsessed! I love taking the skyliner over there and pretend I'm fancy. The Riviera smells SO good. PP has great food.

Thank you! It's on our list to try this year since we booked the free QSDP package. Riviera is beautiful! What have enjoyed Topolino's a couple of times. This time with check out Primo Piatto.

Is there anyone there now who can provide an updates now that the Everything Pop Dining refurbishment has started? I would guess the entire food area would be blocked off plus possibly some of the drink stations?

I will take pictures and post updates here once we arrive.

I came here to see if anyone currently at Pop had posted anything yet. Hopefully that means it's going well with mobile ordering. I'll be there in 2 weeks so I've been checking out the mobile ordering menu and it looks like they've added a lot more options!

This is from several Facebook posts but I saw photos too - they have put seating in the arcade and some of the seating is still open in the dining area. There is one soda fountain stand open and also the one at the bar. Mobile ordering is going ok and people are there to help those with issues. Special dietary needs go to the old ice cream area to order. There are not a lot of bottled drinks for people on the dining plan (and anyone else) to get. Limited variety of the bottled drinks. Thats all I have seen and by multiple sources so hopefully correct.

What we ( when i say we I mean me) all want to know is the pb&j croissant available and/or the ice cream sundaes available. Even that oatmeal cookie. I will certainly be sad if I can’t get those

Right?! I can't wait for those goodies!

To view items available for mobile order, you can use the + sign on the bottom of the MDE app and then start to order food.

Another option is to go to the Pop website (link on first page of this thread, go to dining and then click 'Menu' although I'm not sure if that menu is updated to reflect only current offerings. The MDE option would likely be more accurate.

Sadly they are using the ice cream area to do allergy orders and the ice cream is not available. Just the standard Mickey bars etc. (again from what I have read not personal experience)

Does anyone know if the microwave and toaster is still accessible?
Not firsthand but from what I saw at Movies, I would say yes,100 %.

As long as any part of the Food Court is open I am sure the microwaves and toasters will be made available.

For the love of Mickey. Why does online check never work for me? I won’t be getting in now until between 2 and 3am and I do t have a room assignment in DME. I have to go to the front desk. Who wants to do that at 2 in the morning?

Rant over
