I miss that area with the bridge over the stream. So pretty.
Not to be Debbie Downer, but I just found another photo that makes me miss it even more

I'll be staying 3 nights for the races also at Poly DVC Studio. I put in my request via Touring Plans. They will fax it in for you a few days before check in. If using their system, you can select a specific room and then it gives a list of other rooms close to that specific one. I wish I had noticed this on previous trips. Sounds like a few of us will be fighting for those choice rooms at the poly.A friend is staying at the Poly Villas for the first time. Standard View. Looking for suggested location - been to Disney many times but haven't stayed at Poly since I was a kid. We are going during Star Wars Dark Side races so just a 4 night stay.
So did they remove the entire stream during the remodel? Not to be Debbie Downer, but I just found another photo that makes me miss it even more

A new agent?I'm popping in to say Hi! We just booked our very first Poly trip, and I couldn't be more excited. We've stayed offsite, moderate, and value, but the Poly has always been on my wishlist. We are celebrating our 20th anniversary, and are leaving the kids homeand will be traveling with friends who will also be celebrating their 20th. Our trip is 9-17 to 9-24.
When I talked to the TA to my my room request, she said that there are no rooms with king beds. She said they went away after the last room renovation. Does anyone have any words of advice for me?
Thanks!

Look at the tiki man pages - http://www.tikimanpages.com/poly/ for more info on which rooms have king beds. Rarotonga has king bed rooms.
Also, touring plans may have info on which rooms have king beds too.

Agreed! I'm pretty sure that's when the king beds got put in...during the last renovation. Their are no King beds in a DVC Studio, but in the regular rooms, some have king beds.

We will be at the Poly in June and have a themed park room reserved. What buildings have the theme park views? Any recommendations for rooms. Thanks
Thanks. I guess they were on a mission to remove water features around the resort, the lobby, the stream, etc...
King beds were put in during the renovation in 2013. Samoa, Fiji and Rarotonga have king bed rooms. You can see them on the maps on each longhouse page.

So how do I tell the TA she's wrong? She said that they've always told her that there are no King rooms when she calls in the request? Is there a better way to put in the request?
Thanks!

I have run into this with misinformed phone CM's that have told me what I want to request is not possible. I have politely said, "I understand what you're saying but can you please just make a note on my reservation that I would like xxx?" They have relented every time and added said request. Your TA will have to either play CM roulette (keep calling to get a CM with a clue) or do what I have done in the past.
Maybe email her a pic of the longhouse, which shows the kingsize bed rooms, and politely ask her to note your request. She'll probably be very appreciative (albeit embarrassed).

we stayed in Tuvalu - I think Aoteroa also has TPV. We loved Tuvalu since it was right on the water. Here's the view from 3411 at sunrise :
