Just to piggyback off this question, as I dive deeper into looking into the Prime Now option, does the resort charge a fee? Do you need to meet the delivery worker in person? Just thinking of logistics and fees...

Thank you for any insight.
no resort fee. They go to the resorts multiple times a day and usually drop off at bell services which you will have to note in the comments section when you purchase your items. I would check with the front desk or bell services and ask where amazon prime should deliver. You don't have to meet the delivery worker. At AKL, bell sevices would put the cold items in the fridge for us but amazon also stored them with ice. There were always other peoples names on the list at bell services that were picking up from prime too so it's very common.

Thank you for all the useful info! Will The resort charge a fee if bell services recieves the delivery for you?

Also wonder if they will receive a 6 pack of beer, if that’s part of the order. Not sure if you had any experience with that.

Just called the resort, there is no delivery fee if the order comes while you are checked in. If the delivery comes prior to check in, there’s a $5 fee.

If alcohol is part of the order, they hold it at the front desk and it must be signed for by someone of legal age.

Thanks so much for this suggestion!

Was everyone happy with choosing poly? For those that have stayed at other deluxes, how does it compare?
We are going for my 40th and it will also be our 15 year anniversary and staying at poly has been on my bucket list so we booked it for September 2019. But now that I can stay anywhere I want I’m started to rethink and want to make sure it’s the best choice!

We've stayed at all but 2 of the deluxes and while we love all of them, the Poly is our favorite. The tropical grounds are beautiful and relaxing and seeing the castle from just about anywhere on the Poly grounds can't be beat (IMO). I think the Poly is a great resort for a birthday/anniversary celebration. I don't think you'll regret it! Have fun planning :wizard:.

We are heading over to Poly now. Got a room on 2nd floor, other than that, rather excited about a new lounge to check out. We'll make do without a balcony I suppose

Hope you have a great time :).

Had no idea you can walk to TTC from poly.

That's one of the (many) things I love about the Poly! Being able to walk to the TTC to catch the Epcot monorail is great :goodvibes.

Definitely up there in our book. I honestly was more excited about our 1st week in Beach Club... but aside from the ability to walk to Epcot and HS, I didn’t ‘love it.’ However, as a family, we really liked almost everything about the Poly. It’s not as ‘homey’ as WL and isn’t as impressive as GF (to us), but we really did like it a lot and will be back. Loved all the activities for the kids, they loved participating! Loved watching the fireworks from here... we came back most nights instead of watching from the park!

My biggest negative is the small size of the main pool and the excessive amount of bodies in it! The chair saving is crazy here. If we got one chair some days, we were lucky. Saw people leaving empty bags on chairs and leaving for long periods of time - just rude. Other than that, I’d definitely recommend it! Good luck deciding, but I think you’d enjoy it!

I've already accepted the fact that we will probably not be spending time at the main pool. The pool at the Caribbean Beach Resort was the same way. I just cannot swim in a sea of humanity. I plan on swimming in the Oasis pool instead. The girls can always leave their things with me and walk over to the main pool to use the slide and hang out. I prefer peace and some personal space. We have a full-day cabana mid-week and a half-day cabana on check-out day. So, I have a guaranteed seat for two days at least. I do hope that I can watch fireworks from inside the main pool a couple times. Hopefully most people will be on the beach.

I just hate crowded pools. Ugh! Poly REALLY needs a third pool! They are always so crowded, but don't know if anything can or will ever be done about it. For me, the one (and only) downside to this resort.

Yes sorry, not sure why it didn't add the quote!

That's cool, i'd be interested to know if the CL is worth it over the standard rooms etc... ;o)
They are for us because we always eat breakfast and dinner in the lounge, only paying for 1 meal OOP when we stay CL. It makes up for the added cost

It's too bad that they didn't enlarge it when they did the remodel. Oh well...

Yea, I can't see that anything will impress us the way AKL and GF does but I love the hawaian theme and its just always been on my bucket list. I agree with BC. Stayed there twice and although the pool is great and transportation is key and the BC "smell" is awesome, I wasn't impressed. However, it is my husbands favorite resort.

Isn't there a direct monorail from Poly to Epcot that's on the line with the other monorail resorts and MK? Wouldn't it be more convenient to just take that monorail? Just trying to gather all the info I can before going.

The monorail that runs through Poly is the resort monorail (Poly, GF, MK, CR, TTC). But from Poly you can walk to TTC and pick up the Epcot monorail directly without having to switch monorails.

ok, so it's easier to just walk to ttc and take the one monorail if your longhouse is on that side of the resort. Make's sense.

I feel the same way. The BC is a nice resort, but I wasn't as impressed and didn't love it like I thought would. I also thought the pool was just ok and wasn't wow'd by that, either. I actually prefer the Poly pool (as well as other resort pools) to SAB.

There isn't a monorail that goes direct from Poly to Epcot. You either take the monorail around to the TTC and transfer to the Epcot monorail or walk to the TTC.

I read somewhere that it is actually quicker to take the resort monorail to the TTC and transfer in order to avoid going through security twice, once at Poly and once at TTC. Is this the case?
