Paying my tips automatically or in cash?

I want to know if I pay my gratuities automatically, that those four positions will actually get thier designated amount? Or do I need to just tip in cash? I have seen numerous reports of automatic tips not going to the appropriate employees but to the company to distribute. But I want to think that Disney wouldn’t do such.

Well, technically it is the company distributing the tips. Since they get charged to your shipboard account it's then up to the company to pay it to the individuals.

DCL does make sure it goes to the correct ppl and the crew often prefers onboard credit because it is easier to send home vs cash. Feel free to stop by guest services if you want to increase your amount given (they will print you updated slips). We normally do a mix of increasing the automatic amounts via onboard and throwing in a bit in cash so they have both
