Random question... we're staying in a DVC studio at the end of this month. We ordered some cereal and milk for our breakfasts from Garden Grocer... is there cutlery provided in the little kitchenette, or should I throw some plastic spoons in my luggage?

Limited. You might also want to bring some plastic bowls.

Was it one of the new studios with no clothesline in the bathroom, or one of the regular rooms? We use the heck out of those clotheslines - I hope there is one there. 5 people = a lot of wet bathingsuits!
No, it was just a regular standard room in Fiji.

Thank! I took the plunge and bought one set of cubes. I'll put ds's clothes in the gallon ziplock so that just leaves Dh, who thinks I'm nuts with the cubes, to fend for himself. Ha ha.

I went by the dollar store after reading your post and they didn't have any kind of clotheslines. Do you have a pic of what you mean? Thanks! You've been so helpful.
My DH initially made fun of packing cubes, but he now uses them when he travels for work.

Hi all - first time at Poly coming up in November. We have a Standard room. Looking at the map and the Touring Plans room/building info, it looks like Niue has a really nice location (close to the main lodge, not too close to the monorail, etc.) Any other pros/cons I should consider? TIA.

Niue is a good location however, cutting down on walking time is important to us, which is why we always request Raratonga. Staying as close to the GCH/Monorail, Bus Line and relatively close to the path to the TTC makes a big difference for us. We love to sit out and watch the Monorail go by and we really don't notice it when we're in the room.

We did the twilight feast last fall and loved it. It was my husband and I - we ordered for one and had leftovers. Neither of us eat shrimp, so they left that off and sent more of the other meats. Everything was perfectly cooked, and enjoying it on our balcony was a great end to our day!
Thanks! That sounds like a perfect way to end our first night. I think you guys have helped me make the decision. We are going to order this for 2 (we have 3 kiddos, the youngest is 2 and won't eat much). So super excited to be at the Poly & now to add this meal to our to-do list ;)

Oasis Pool Menus, Does anyone know if this is considered a "Quick Service Meal" on the DDP or is this not on the DDP?:confused3 TIA!:goodvibes:wave2:

I believe several pages back in the thread where they posted the menu, there was no info yet in regards to the DDP.

On the disney site, the oasis pool grill is listed as taking the dining plan. But I'm not sure if that means for everything on the menu.

Is it possible to get room service delivered to the CL lounge? I am thinking a late night Ohana feast eaten in the lounge might be an idea. I'm not sure about eating that late though. Oh well, it's vacation right?

Hi everyone! I am new here but my husband, my 2.5 year old, and I are headed to the Poly in less than 3 weeks! Just wanted to say thanks for this thread. I've been lurking here for a little while and it's been so helpful. This will be our first time staying on site and I am so excited.

I love this thread. We are so excited for our Polynesian visit. Can anyone tell me where to find the link that shows all the views from the Dvc studios? I saw it somewhere in these 274 pages but I cannot find it now. I'm still debating whether I should do online check in or call the resort a couple of days ahead of time. Thanks for your help.

Welcome and Aloha! Enjoy it- you don't know how good you will have it compared to 99% of people visiting WDW when you are staying there. Soak it all in, and don't worry, you can't do it all, but you will be back!

30 days till our anniversary trip and youngest 1st trip! Waiting on our magic bands and our covers. Still haven't decided room request. I def. would like to have 3rd floor. Thought Samoa would be great facing lava pool but is there any regular standard rooms in any longhouse that could possible see the fireworks? Or beach? There are so many choices, I just don't know.

You can see the beach from Fiji, but most rooms with a view of the fireworks would be classified as TPV. I do think there are a few SV rooms with obstructed views or glimpses of the castle though ... perhaps check Tikiman's site for specifics?

I can't answer your question, but hopefully someone else will be able to :flower3:.

We love Samoa, but I don't think there is a bad location at the Poly. Have a great time :).

My kid is in love with the Standard Views at Fiji, the east-facing rooms. Several have very good views of the Contemporary.
