So it seems to me from lit windows the last few nights they are putting people in the main building (not sure if just a holiday week thing??). Only building I haven’t seen any sign of life is SL.

Anyone on the DIS actually been put in the main building?

I checked in on Christmas Day and check out tomorrow. I had a split stay doing 6 nights at the GF, and my last 3 nights at the villas. I originally booked rpc, I was later informed I would be moved upon check in as cl would be unavailable.

Upon arriving I noticed guest walking the fifth floor, so I inquired about being moved to the main building. The cm at check in told me no main building rooms were being used other then suites. (Even though I did see regular rooms with lights on this week in the main building.) He did say that he heard rumors that the cms for cl were called back.

Upon checking into the villas I saw two familiar faces that usually greet me at rpc. I chatted with them and they said they were placed in the villas currently and their hours would be cut from 40 to 36 hours after New Years. They said they were eager but apprehensive what to expect when cl returns.

Finally made it to ER! Dh dinner with golf buddies so it’s me and dd . Guess it’s good she crashed lol.

oops snow storm I m staying a few more days but probably have to move ssr or okw to be near the golf guys. That’s ok it’s Disney Days!

In bed with wine after watching EWP. Isn’t it nice watching the castle from your room a great way to end the day?

Love it! We have used it many times. It’s longer than poly-gf and Cr-MK but a lovely walk. Makes it easier leaving the park or morning rope drop. Dd timed it and Conch to MK said .75 miles this morning,

Also realized it took 15 years but Sago, Sugar Loaf, Conch, Boca Chica, Big Pine Key, Main Building RPC and VGF all complete by this GF lover

Quick question, when we were there in October they didn't allow us to drink in pool or hot tub. We always had drinks in those two locations for years, waiters even delivered them to us in the pool but I guess with covid they discontinued that in October. My question is...Are they allowing to drink in the pool and hot tub again?

Quick question, when we were there in October they didn't allow us to drink in pool or hot tub. We always had drinks in those two locations for years, waiters even delivered them to us in the pool but I guess with covid they discontinued that in October. My question is...Are they allowing to drink in the pool and hot tub again?

I was told we were not allowed to bring a drink in the hot tub in December... but I did

I wonder since they now generally have a recreation CM at/around the Courtyard Pool for sanitizing and such that that CM has been charged with enforcing no drink rules?? In past times there’s usually no one around and (in general) anything goes at places like the Courtyard Pool, Oasis Pool, etc.

It was the recreation CM that I asked as I was having a conversation with him. He was very polite about it, but said they weren’t permitting it at this time. I assumed he meant only if he was there.

Just back from a CR and Poly split stay, but given the new MK path we visited GF quite a bit. I LOVE the path, especially this time of year when it’s not 100 degrees.

If anyone is curious, the distance from the GF main building “back door” by GF Cafe to the CR lobby is exactly 1.25 miles. Walk time for us was 25 minutes. Of course you have to get temp and security check at MK, but with the new (totally awesome) walk-thru security scanners that process takes seconds.

I drank in the hot tub and the two cms in red walked right past me and didn’t say boo. (Picture above)

Another random note, I had really good luck with the “Join Walk Up List” feature in the app at both Cali Grill and Narcoossee’s this week. For folks like us that kind of don’t plan/just make it up as we go, it’s a great feature!

At Narcoossee’s, we joined at 6:24pm (while in our Poly room) with a posted 60 minute wait. Our table was available at 6:50pm, so not even 30 minutes. I had never eaten there before, but we really enjoyed it!

So even if you strike out on reservations to these hard to get places, don’t be afraid to try to walk up list in the app if you have the flexibility in your schedule.
