Starting to warm up to the new rooms?
Yes. I had no issues accessing the closet. You can get around it, if necessary, when doors are open. I did not take any pictures of the space itself, but here is a video to help with a visual…Was this closet next to the bed also? If it is, there is more room to access it than than it looks like in the other pictures.
Yeah, I mentioned that to DH during our last trip. It was fairly prevalent at GDT with the Dance/Cheer groups in attendance the first weekend in May. I'm talking about some very little kids too. I did come to find out it's okay in Florida. I guess I'm not surprised!Fairly certain it's illegal for a minor to sit at a bar.

Is it a functional thing or a design aesthetic? I am genuinely curious. Not the bathrooms. Always such a GF weak spot.![]()
I did not find any issue with the placement of the closet. They actually held a good amount of items, so that’s pretty much where all of my suitcases and bags went. There’s a nice full length mirror on one of the interior closet doors as well, which was really nice to have. Starting to warm up to the new roI
I don't see Mary Poppins but maybe there are small details I'm missing. I do like the colors however.Refurbished Mary Poppins-Inspired Guest Rooms Debut at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort

As we assumed, the rooms look identical to the DVC rooms, with the exception of no microwave or toaster. Also to note, these have soap wall dispensers in the shower, the DVC rooms have the small bottles.

My kids mostly used the small round table in front of the couch, and at times, my DS would push the bench that comes under the desk against the dresser in front of the television so he could eat and watch TV. I typically sat outside on the balcony and DH stood and ate. We mostly used the desk as a snack bar and literally had all of our snacks and drinks sprawled out all over it, so there was really no where to sit there for us, but you can use it as a table. We usually only have breakfast in the room anyway, so it’s not a huge deal for us. Kids mostly eat cereal or waffles, nothing crazy. Is there any kind of table that can be used for in room dining with the desk moved and the little table that used to be underneath gone?
Nicely laid out there! There are a few things…

Bench in front of the TV? I like the way your DS thinks! My kids mostly used the small round table in front of the couch, and at times, my DS would push the bench that comes under the desk against the dresser in front of the television so he could eat and watch TV.
