I don't believe that there are any chairs on the beach but there are hammocks.

Just back, and we definitely rode the bus to Epcot prior to 2pm. There were some signs up about having to transfer to get a bus to Typhoon Lagoon prior to 2pm, though.

Where on earth did you hear that?? No, its not true. Resort to park buses start running around 0630 every day.

How does the laundry work? Coin or free? Are the washers good with pods? Is it safe to leave my laundry while I go swim?

Planning to wash one load of dirty little boy clothes mid-trip so I'm not dragging home week old spaghetti shirts.

When I did wash in August, the machines were coin operated. I used a pod style detergent in the front loading machine. I hung out by the pool to check on the laundry. No problems here. My family hangs out by the pool when doing wash, not matter which resort we stay at.

No not true we took a bus to Epcot before rope drop for an early adr. Also took one one morning when MK bus was full the Epcot bus was right behind it so we got on that and took the monorail to MK

Yes toddlers allowed but keep in mind it is 3ft deep at shallow end

The quiet pools are just quiet compared to the main pool. No lifeguards, no pool games and activities, no slide, etc. Just a plain pool that normally isn't crowded or noisy. My kids enjoyed going there one day to do laps/races and they were the only ones there. The main pool is tons of fun but can get hectic.

Although we will have a rental car, we want to use the WDW bus to get to DTD.

Question: Do the DTD buses depart exclusively from the FRONT of the resort, or can I catch one at a regular bus stop?

I don't think WDW actually calls them quiet pools. Quiet pool is DIS slang I believe.
