It's about $25/night. BC is the premium experience at a Mod resort IMO. Well worth the money for the Cabanas 9B room location alone, the BC lounge is just a bonus.

We just upgraded a few weeks ago for our 11/1 trip. I was quite surprised how it wasn't much more than $25 a night from our King/Waterview room.

And all the rooms in 9B are waterview.

If there are no longer water bottles in business class does anyone know if there's a way to take some water back to the room, ie: any "to go" cups with lids?

Yes, they have to go cups. I don'y know if they still have this but they used to have some nice flavored water when you walked in the lounge on the table.

Yeah, the waterview rooms are $25 more than standard and the BC rooms are another $25. It really is a good deal. Although there are other locations at CSR we like, we're just to spoiled to stay in any other rooms now! :)

Thank you...

Our last stay at CSR was back in 2009. The resort rooms had recently been refurbed and we were in a preferred, corner room in Casitas. We had a great stay and are really looking forward to returning and trying business class for the first time.

Lol, I'm a cheapo.
Not sure $200 is worth a little less walking and snacks mostly when we will be in the parks...

It just comes down to vacation style.

I love walking around CSR, but the wife doesn't. I do love laying on the hammocks out front of 9B.

I see your trip is 4 nights. I understand why you would want to open and close the parks and get very little use out of the resort.

We typically go for 12-14 nights. This December were are there for 16 nights as I have a conference the first 3 days and then family vacation after that. We obviously don't spend 14 days wire to wire in the parks and do alot of relaxing at the resort. So it's nice to have the main pool, quiet pool, laundry, food court and bus stop all with in a 2 min walk. We aren't rope drop people either so we eat breakfast every morning in the BC lounge.

We probably do alot more relaxing at the resort than most WDW vacationers. :) We do actually enjoy the snacks and beers some nights as well.

If we were staying at POR or CBR we would have a preferred room there. So for the $25 a night it's well worth it.

I can definately see why you wouldn't pay for it though. :thumbsup2

I seem to recall reading that there is a way to override the motion detector on the air conditioner so it doesn't click off overnight but didn't see it in the first page? :confused3
Can anyone help me? I like it cool at night :)

Turn the fan on and tie a ballon to a chair in front of it
You basically need something to "trip" the motion detector and think you are in there moving around

There is also a way to override it but I think the link is not suppose to be posted on the boards for some reason
Google coranado springs Disney BUZZ
Although I have read it doesn't always work the info is there

The override has worked for us in the past. According to the site there are two types of thermostats.

For us (staying 10 nights, so an extra ~$500) it seemed like a no-brainer. Breakfast in the lounge is more than enough to hold us over until lunch and the alcohol alone (Corona for the hubs and sangria for me) is where we'll get our moneys worth :cool1:

On the thermostat, push the POWER button and the DOWN arrow (that adjusts the temp) at the same time. If you do this correctly, the letters "bp" will show where the temp usually is. You are now bypassing the room sensors. You can set the temp to your preference and it will maintain that temp whether or not you're in the room. The bypass will sometimes reset after 24 hours, so you might have to do this every day.

I've done this multiple times and it works - hope this helps!

Depends on which thermostat is in the room. This works for the older ones but there is a different set of instructions for the newer ones.

Thermostat #2

To bypass this unit, press the Power and Cooler buttons at the same time. The display will show ‘BP’ which means bypass. The SensorStat will act as a thermostat only for 48 hours. To cancel Soft Bypass mode, press the Power and Fan buttons at the same time. The display will show ‘CA’.

My niece had a reservation for 11/13 - 11/15 at CSR for $216/nt. Last week she received a call from Disney informing her that the room would be unavailable for her dates due to construction/renovation. She was offered a room at the Polynesian for $484/nt. That's an additional $268/nt!! At the time she was busy with the kids and accepted the offer. Needless to say, once I heard about this, I was rather annoyed. From what I got from her, there is still time to cancel the Polynesian reservation, but according to the person she spoke with, she's be charged a $300 cancelation fee.

My thoughts on this are that if Disney is unable to honor a reservation, then they are obligated to find similar accommodations for her at the agreed upon rate. Calling these kids up a month before their trip and saying, "oh, by the way, you'll need another $900 for you stay" is totally unacceptable and not in line with the many positive experiences the me and my family have had with them.

At this point, I'm asking for advice on how to rectify this situation. Should I have her call back and request a credit for the difference? Should she just cancel the reservation and find offsite accommodations? If any of you have had a similar experience, please share how you resolved it. Any help you can provide will be appreciated.

I just looked online and there are rooms available at POFQ for those nights for $215. I would absolutely call back and make some noise to get accommodations closer to the original reservation price.

I know I've read here, not just in regards to CSR but other resorts also, that when a room you have booked will not be available due to construction/reno/etc., Disney has moved guests to other rooms at the same resort or another resort, a room comparable or even of a higher grade than what they booked. I do not remember reading that these guests were charged any upgrade fee or had to pay any difference in price if they took the room offered them by Disney. I would most definitely suggest she callback and either request a refund of the difference or see what other options they can give her

Searched, haven't seen this question answered on here anywhere...

How do you request a rollaway bed at CSR? Can you do it at online check-in, or does it have to be on your reservation (through central booking) before that?
