Mona I hope your floor installation issues get resolved. I agree with Pea that maybe this is a blessing in disguise.

Good Morning. I have been out running around doing grocery stopping at Wegman's at 6:30 and now hope to not have to go to a store until after Thanksgiving. I went to Target and Dollar Tree to pick up Christmas candy on sale at Target and get the Pez that I always get the grandkids. Target has a good price on those. Dollar tree I got gift bags, tissue paper, cookie tins, etc. I hope to be done soon. Just have Kenny and Jeff left. I get each family Museum of Science passes and those are all set. I am tired now. Still need to drive to Jeff's to see everyone and then back again. I am glad supper is leftovers.

Have a good Saturday.

Today is Toto’s birthday. He is 12! 🥳

Here he is tethered here to G so he can’t run off into the woods chasing chipmunks! It is really funny watching them run and sniff being attached to one another, it makes me laugh! G stays close and won’t let him go anywhere he’s not supposed to go - good boy, G!

Happy Birthday Toto!! 🎂 (G is a smart boy!)

Thank you! :goodvibes

I have not seen Wicked. I know my SIL and niece are really into it, too. Can someone explain what it’s about? (I know it’s based on the Wizard of Oz, but that’s all I know!)

Did you see Maleficent?

It's kind of like that was for Sleeping Beauty - how did the villain in the Wizard of Oz come to be who she was?

The first half was backstory, and this half will run into the 1938 movie, and kind of show it from the other side.

Oh, like a prequel? Thanks for explaining. I did not see Maleficent and didn’t realize those movies were related.

We really enjoyed the prequel to Outlander this fall, Blood of My Blood, and can’t wait for the next installment.

So that’s helpful, thanks!

If you are interested in a fun book, read Wicked by Gregory Maguire. The musical and movie are based on that. I read it when it was first published, before backstories for fictional characters were a thing, and it was so much fun! Maguire has other books about fictional characters -- haven't read all of them, but they're on my list.

I love the picture of G and Toto tethered together. They are 2 very handsome doggies.

Good morning. It is 25 now with temps heading towards 40 today. I had a nice visit with Jeff and family yesterday. I talked with Jeff about my potentially retiring next year. He is all for it. Kenny is a different story. I have some ideas on keeping busy. Today I am heading to the gym in a little bit and then hoping to get into Market Basket for a few items I missed. I am guessing that 7:45 am on the Sunday morning won't be to crowded and hopefully the 12 item and less cashier is open. I have some housework to do and then to a small store that is like the Paper Store to look at a few stocking stuffers. I am making squash tonight to go with my chicken. No one else likes it so I bought some already cubed yesterday and will make it for me for the week. So good. I am making a very small lasagna for Thanksgiving day and leftovers. We are having dinner on Friday. I am even thinking of setting up the small artificial tree I bought 3 years ago. I have not done a tree since Chris passed and never thought I would. I do have to buy new ornaments as I will not use the ones we used for so many years. A new tree so new ornaments.

Have a good day.

I read it when it first came out too. It sparked my interest enough that when it came to Broadway, I had to see it. I've seen it twice since then.
