Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS RESORT Information & Questions

Before they had the Business Class rooms at CSR I always booked a waterview. Not because I sit in my room looking at the view, but because there are no waterviews in the 3 buildings at CSR that I absolutely don't want to be in. So the waterview guaranteed me a room I could live with. I also found that when you have paid for a room that is an upgrade over standard they work a little harder to put you in a room you want.

The 3 buildings with no waterview are Ranchos 6A, 6B, and 7A. You also won't be in Casitas 1-3 (preffered) or Cabanas 9B Business Class. So your possible locations are Casitas 4 or 5, Cabanas 8A, 8B, or 9A all facing the main lagoon or Ranchos 7B over looking the quiet pool.

My preferred choice of those is Casitas 4. I use the Fitness Center which is in that building, it has an extra large quiet pool, and close to busstop 2 the first pickup for the parks.

Casitas 5 is halfway between the food court and Digsite pool area, about 5 mins either way. The Cabanas buildings are very close to the Digsite. Ranchos 7B if farther from the food court than the other choices, but is very quiet and has a nice scenic quiet pool.

Oh, that's the exact information I was looking for! I think I will request Casitas 4!

The only downside to Casitas 4 is it's at the opposite side of the resort from the Digsite, but we didn't care about that. We just used the quiet pool which as stated is extra large, about twice the size of the other quiet pools and LOTS of place to lounge. It's 3-4 min walk to the food court.

Subscribing to the thread.

We have been to WDW 3 times with our girls (4 and 6 years old). We've always stayed offsite at Windsor Hills. This will be our first trip staying on property and with the dining plan. We are staying at CSR 9/28 to 10/4, 2014.

We are so excited!

15th time going to orlando but first time staying at a disney resort, how often are the buses to the theme parks from Coronado and what time do they start and end at.

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for all the great information on this thread! I am so excited about going to Disney with my Dh, Ds (11), dd (9), ds (5) sister in law, and mother in law. We are headed to CSR 8/17 to 8/23 and I originally requested to be close to bus stop #2 so we wouldn't have to worry about getting seats for the bus as my mother in law doesn't have good knees and will need a seat. After looking thru the thread I'm wondering if I should change it to the cabanas section to be closer to the main pool? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

What a great thread with tons of information. I was a little sad switching to this resort to have free dining while we are on our first trip to WDW in Sept/Oct but our trip includes 13 days of CSR with free dining and then we move to Beach Club for a few days. Will be following along as we plan and get ready for our trip.

Currently here and happy to say that my worries about the cleanliness have been unfounded. Not pristine but definitely not like the stories I have heard. Staff in certain places not so great. Rix cafe staff as well as the concierge seem disengaged and rather rude at times. Other than those few, the staff have been great. I have to agree that if you don't like walking for everything stay somewhere else. Or drive wherever you are needing to go. Today is the is first of two conventions at the hotel while we are here. I'm interested to see what vibe I get with that.

Thanks so much for the update!! What bldg./location are you staying at? Thanks!

Planning for a big trip with my IL's, 11 people total. We will be at CSR for the holidays in 4 rooms - hoping to be in same area, not expecting adjacent rooms.

Had a few ?s: first, I have read there is an internal bus system but is that mainly for to/from check in? FIL has knee drama and I have hip issues; we are good 99% of the time but wondering if we overdo or torque wrong one day do we have some back up? (FIL is a bad luck magnet medically... Has a propensity to visit local ERs when travelling *smh* :-) )
Second, is there any way to use DP for room service? I know some places have the ability to use credits for pizza... just wondering if we can use for anything else?
Finally, MIL is a holiday junkie and a little bummed we aren't doing traditional holiday at home. Have a small tree and decorations to surprise her with but was also thinking of decorating windows... do people do that at CSR? Nothing crazy, maybe lights and garland? I know the rules (no tape, timers...) But didn't know if other people decorate?

TIA and excited to go!!! CSR was first choice for farm so FD was bonus!!!

Like many it seems, we are PO refugees! :) Hoping to stay at CSR in November with free dining but we are not DV holders so we have to wait until the 7th to book.

I have a couple of questions since we have never stayed at CSR before. We'll be travelling with a 13 year old DS and a 3 year old DD. We don't typically use the pool much, and we'll be going on a cruise right after our Disney stay so I'm not too worried about being near the pool, but would like to be near a bus stop so that we can get around easily. What would be the best building for us?

We're hoping for a first floor room but in case we don't get that, do the buildings at CSR have elevators?

Anything else we should know? I am a bit worried that the kids won't have as much fun at CSR--we stayed in a Royal Room at POR last year and they LOVED that so I'm wondering if CSR will be a bit of a letdown. :( I'm excited about it though, it's the only moderate we've never done and I've been wanting to try it. :)

The buildings all have elevators but one thing to consider or ask for: the elevators tend to be at one end of the building - if you can all use the stairs too then you'll be fine. If anyone has mobility problems or don't want to use the stairs too here will be a little walk to get to the elevator so I'd suggest asking for a room near the elevator if you can't get a first floor.
