Disney should have those coke machines with like 100 flavors https://www.coca-colafreestyle.com
The only draw back is people who don't know how to work fast or what they want before they get there

Agree! Those machines are awesome! I always get a diet vanilla coke, or diet cherry vanilla. They'd be great to have at the resorts.

Royal Caribbean has these on their ships for folks that purchase the unlimited soda packages. Would be nice for WDW refillable mugs too :thumbsup2

How much time should we give ourselves to go from CSR to the Hoopdeedoo Revue? We were planning to take the bus to MK and boat to FW for the 6:15 show.

We will have a car if you think that's faster. Things I read seemed to suggest that the bus/boat is faster since driving requires taking the internal bus to Pioneer Hall.

There are several overlapping conventions scheduled here during our stay. Travel Planners International, Disney Approach to Quality Service, Enhancing Judicial Bench Skills, and National Alliance for Drug Endangered Children. Yikes! Sounds crowded. Does anyone know anything about any of the groups? Was wondering how big the groups will be and if the main pool would be closed for their special activities. Thanks for any info.

You could try googling them for information. They sound like smaller groups to me. I would be extremely suprised if the main pool was closed for any of them. The only time I recall hearing that was for the massive Grainger convention which took up most of the resort. That Grainger convention is so massive I don't know why they didn't just close the whole resort down.

When talking to a CM on the phone about CSR, she pointed out that the buses should be easy to get on since there were a lot of conventions and she said Rix might get crowded at night but other than that we should be ok. I was super nervous about it too, it looked liked there were 5 or 6 there when we are going.

I haven't done the bus/ boat route yet (though we will in Dec.) so I can't comment on that.
But, I did travel to the Hoop Dee Doo last year by car/ internal bus and it was a lot easier than I thought. The drive from Pop took less than 15 minutes. We parked the car and waited less than 10 minutes for an internal bus. Our total travel time from our room at Pop to Pioneer Hall was about 35 minutes. I had given us an hour and a half, so we were quite early and did a little exploring and relaxing which was nice.
Whichever method you choose, you are taking 2 forms of transportation, so I don't think it matters all that much. If you are planning on going to MK after the show or plan to partake of the free alcohol, then I would go the MK route. Otherwise, I think car is a fine choice. Just remember that if you drive to stay over to the right lanes when you approach the MK tolls.

In either case, I would still allow 90 minutes. You never know what could go wrong/ where you might run into delays. :)

minimum 60 mins but 90 to be safe.

Thanks for the answers to my convention question. We've been at Coronado twice before, (love it) but never with so many conventions at once. The buses were seldom crowded which was great. Just got a little concerned since it seems that the resort will be full. I have heard some scary stories about Grainger and Pop Warner in the past and didn't went to get tied up with any of that mess! Husband and I usually go full out in the parks and are planning to spend more time at the resort relaxing this time. Yeah, right! Ha! As I tell him, there is just too much fun to be had to sit around. We can do that at home!

Grainger you definately want to avoid!!

We caught the tail end of POP Warner last year. We arrived December 12th and I think it finshed up the 13th. Other than a few groups of teenagers walking around in cheerleading outfits I never really noticed them. I've heard storys of rowdy behaviour, but I didn't witness any.

Try to avoid the FL Elks. Grainger is not holding their convention at CSR in 2015. Yeah!

We will be staying at CSR Nov 1-7 with the free DDP in a King Preferred room. So so excited that it is now only two months out after having this planned since January! :woohoo:
