This thread has been so helpful! Thank you to everyone for the info and discussion. You don't always hear much about CSR, so it completely slipped my mind until tonight for a mid April stay. It looks like CSR is a winner hands down for this next trip.

I've tried to read everything, but I cannot clarify..... Can someone explain exactly what "preferred room" consists of and what "business class" entitles you to. Is business class the same as club level in the deluxes? (Realizing the difference between deluxe and mod). Thank you so much!!

Preferred rooms are located in Casitas 1, 2 or 3.

.
and what "business class" entitles you to.

Business Class rooms are located in Cabanas 9B. Guests in these rooms have access to a club level lounge that offers light refreshments (snacks, water, pop and sangria) throughout the day

Not exactly. The food offerings in Business Class are not as extensive as Club Level in the Deluxes. Business Class does not have the extra perk of having CMs that will make ADRs for you, or make Recreation reservations for you, or the ability to text a request for a 4th FP+ after using up the 3 that you book yourself.

Also business class lounge has a little more limited hours: 7-10 AM and 5-10 PM. There is also a DVD player in the rooms which I don't believe are in the regular rooms. We just stayed in business class and really enjoyed the location, housekeeping, quietness, and ability to use the lounge in the evening and morning. We do wish the lounge was open earlier when MK opened at 7 AM every day.

Can you fit in a twin air mattress? There is plenty of room. We used one just last week since our two teen boys sleep better if not sharing a queen bed! (Of course not sure if they will let you put 3 people in a King room)
They won't. King rooms are occupancy 2. You can add a third if they're under age 3.

Just got back from a hotel stay here. The resort and pool are great. Food options were wonderful. But the hotel room itself was terrible. It smelled like mold and my husband and I both developed sinus infections from it. I flew home with an untreated sinus infection and wound up with an ear infection. If we had known that we could have switched rooms, we would have told the manager sooner. So if your room smells, tell the front desk asap. The room they switched us to had no smell at all. However, it was too late by then as the damage was done and we were sick.

The dates keep changing and apparently a new General Manager just took over so nothing written in stone yet.

Aww...I thought maybe they would have started the refurb by now. The concept art looked pretty good, really like the walk-in shower.

I told my wife on Christmas Day about our October trip. She really would like to upgrade to a Business Class room, but I honestly don't see the point because we will be going during F&W and I would assume we will hit up Epcot just about everyday to use snack credits. If it was outside F&W, I wouldn't have a problem with the upgrade.

How can I find a picture of the concept art of the new rooms? I haven't been able to find it.

I am pretty certain you cannot do 3 people in a King room at CSR. In resorts that have a daybed yes you can. But almost positive CSR you cannot.

I can tell you that in standard, two bed room at CSR a twin airbed fits. I have done it at every moderate and value. At CSR we moved the two little stools under the window and put the airbed there.

Just booked at CSR convinced DH to stay here for our June11-17 trip. Staying business club. Can't tell from the map how close is not parking( we're driving) and can you walk to the fig site pool? How long of a walk. TIA

Parking is near the building you stay in.

Walking from BC to the Dig Site is a short walk over a bridge. Not a big deal at all.

We just got back from a Business Class stay in Rm 9622 from Dec 20-30. It was great, no problems with the room. Housekeeper Migdalia was wonderful. The lounge is open from 7A-10A and had a selection of berries, melon cubes, yogurt, milk, tea, coffee, cereal, bagels and danishes each day; in the evening it is open from 5P-9P with beer, wine and sangria during all evening hours and meat cheese and chips from 5-7 and cookies and chips from 7-9. Also, soft drinks were on hand during all open hours to consume in the lounge or take back to the room or pool. The lounge is staffed by concierge employees (who cannot take tips, BTW) and are available to help with concierge issues. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

We had Migdalia over Christmas and she was wonderful! Truly cared about getting to know us and making sure we had a good time.

We are looking at returning this fall either September or in early to mid-November. It is just going to be two of us in a room so we were looking at the king rooms originally, but noticed that they are significantly more expensive than the standard rooms with queen beds. Are the queens true queens or are they undersized and be uncomfortable if we went that route to save a little money for other things?

They are true queens and very comfortable.

Can anyone tell me if the hair dryer in the room comes with a concentrator attachment? I would love to not have to pack my hair dryer but I need one with a concentrator.

I don't think they do. I was there in September and I don't remember seeing one.

I was watching an online video of CS it showed fireworks in the sky over one of the pools. Just wondering which park the fireworks were from. Any idea which pool that might be?

You can see some of Illuminations, and I have heard tell that Symphony in the Sky has some visibility.

It's not the brutal directness of seeing Wishes from the CR, but there is some view.
