I think I have read two different things regarding CR arcade. Has it been moved and is it now opened? Or will it open with Food and Fun Center later in August?

The arcade is now located where the Fantasia store use to be and when the Food & Fun Center re-opens at the Concourse Steakhouse location as Chef Mickey's Express it will no longer have anything to do with the arcade.

Sorry I am not sure if I understand. So when Food and Fun becomes a counter service called Chef Mickey's Express there won't be an arcade anymore or won't be an arcade tied in with Food and Fun???

The arcade was moved up to the fourth floor in the location of the former Fantasia store. It's up and running. The Food & Fun Center on the first floor is now being converted to a new restuarant and lounge to be called "The Wave". When "The Wave" opens sometimes in 2008, the Concourse Steakhouse on the 4th floor will close and it will be converted to Chef Mickey's Express, the new counter service locaton.

I'm on the fence between the POR and the CR garden view room. I can't afford the tower room and I'm worried about looking out at a parking lot. I know your not in your room alot, but, that doesn't seem to much of a vacation feel to look out at cars. I'm worried about the size of the room at POR. My dh and I are not huge but were not little either. I have 3 sons, my 10 year old is about a foot shorter than me. I also have a 7 year old and a 4 year old. I know both resort have their plus and minuses. I think POR has a more "resort feel" and the CR is more of a "sleek modern hotel". I have an AP and I hope there will be some good rates for Easter 2008 week.

Any help from the experts would be great!

Don't worry about the view in the CR. A Standard view will look at the Parking lot/Convention Center. A Garden View room will get you a view of one of the following: Bay Lake, The Pool, The canal from Bay Lake to Seven Seas Lagoon, Landscaping, or any combination thereof. But no parking lots.

I would take the Contemporary over Port Orleans Riverside any day, not just because the Contemporary is my favorite Resort. It's because their rooms are a lot more nicer and have been renovated where as that can't be said about POR. Also I feel like POR looks like your typical motel on the outside with it's 3 floors so while I am sure it's a nice Resort, I don't want to feel like I am staying at a Motel 6 or something.

I assume you are referring to the Fantasia store right? If so that is being replaced by the new store currently being built in the middle of the 4th floor, that is in front of Bay View Gifts, (B.V.G) Sundries and the new arcade location.
