1. What is the benefit of a Jr. Suite. I know they are in the wings but the regular rooms are pretty large so we would hardly need a bigger room if that is the only difference- and I understand they are located in corners of the wings and have a standard view. Do they have 1st floor patios and no balconies on floors 2 and 3?

2. I saw a picture of the Contemporary marina. There was a building in the near backround that had balconies on all three levels. How do I get one of those rooms? What are they? They overlooked the lake.

3. I have seen pictures of the Comtemporary rooms. Most have the loud red and blue colors throughout. Some pictures have a muted brown color to the interior. Where are these rooms?

The crazy thing is I stayed here on my honeymoom in 1988 but I don't remember a darn thing except that we were in a wing. Oh yeah and it was HUMID ( August). I would appreciate anyones help.

14th floor, very doubtful as they don't even offer discounts on this floor.

12th I have no idea......

Just want to say I have a feeling the CR is going to be my favorite resort!

Timmbcco- I think you are talking about the South Garden Wing rooms. They are a little bit closer to the marina. You can make a room request when you make your reservation:D We'll be staying at the CR in less than 3 weeks:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I will at CR on May20th in the tower, I have requested the 11th floor MK view. I will be arriving at 6:00 am that right AM,...do you guys think I have a good chance of getting what i requested because of arrving so early??

thanks Brooke

Well, after reading about how great Concierge is ... DH and I decided to spring for the extra $$$ and try out 12th floor Tower Club for our next trip. Guess what... we are STILL keeping it from the kids... only about 175 more days to keep this secret! ;)

Anyway, my question to the CR experts is:

Even though we are not in the full concierge, will we still be able to take advantage of having our PS's done for us and any other reservations or services? Also, how does this happen, do the CM's contact us or do I need to get in touch with them first?

Thanks so much !

Brooke,
I think your chances are as good as any other time, but you just may have to wait until check-out time to get your room, if all the 11th floor rooms are occupied the day you arrive.

Good luck! We'll be staying at CR for our first time, and hoping for 11th floor, too.

Does everyone agree that the 11th floor is the best, not counting concierge floors?

11th floor is awesome!

On my requests when I made our res, I nicely told the CM that we ould LOVE to have a MK, odd-numbered room, and it didn't matter what floor, as long as we could see the castle at night.

Well, we checked in after 4 pm, and got not only a MK view and an odd numbered room....BUT the 11th floor!:earseek:

Just LOVED IT and can NOT wait to return and try out the Tower Club.
Brooke, believe it or not, those 14th floor rooms, even at full price, go quickly.
I've checked, because we love to stay CL on our trips.

And, I did ask if we could get the 12th floor, I would pay for the upgrade, but the nice CM told me that the 12th floor was booked SOLID, but that was two weeks ago, during PEAK season.

Aisling...you've got wonderful trip planned!

Bumping my question in case it was missed!

Sorry annamonte...now, as for the 12th floor at CR CL....
I haven't experienced that CL yet, but according to some of my friends on the concierge thread, the 12th floor, has the am and mid day offerings, a stocked fridge in the room, and you can reach the 14th floor CL after 4pm, for other requests and PS's.

I can NOT wait to experience the 12th and 14th floors.

BTW..I tried to get a 14th floor suite for our June trip...SOLD OUT!

But, I was able to get TWO 12th floor rooms with AP rate!
So, I'm very pleased about that.

Hope this answers your questions!

Anybody know what a 14th floor room (hosp suite) goes for? Curious...

Thanks!

BambiTamby,

I'm happy you think so!

I think AKL and CR will be SO different, very different Disney experiences! We haven't been to either one before, so this is going to be a very cool trip!

BambiTamby,

Thanks so much for your quick response!!! Hope you have an awesome trip in June and PLEASE fill us in with a trip report when you get back!

I guess I can do my PS's through the concierge staff then?!

Thanks again!

just got that info from my "files".;)

the hospitality suite is 473 sq ft and goes for $540 w/o taxes per night during regular season.
1 bedroom MK view....$1180 per night. (1428 sg ft)
2 bedroom MK view suite is a mere $1745 per night. (about 2000 sq ft.)

So, you can see, that my two rooms on 12th floor at AP rate was considerably less than the 2 bedroom suite on the 14th!:earseek:

Yes, Aisling! They are TWO totally different ANIMALS, if you know what I mean!

This last trip in March, we started at the CR and then went to AKL.
(followed by our fiasco at YC which sent us to the BC, but that's another story! LOL!)

I have to say that I LOVED BOTH RESORTS as they each have their own atmosphere!

annamonte...yes, you can contact them with your PS's.
::yes::
