I've been revising the WL thread since it's nearing 250 pages, so my apologies for getting behind here with replying in a timely manner. I hope to have the new thread up this week.
Welcome to the thread. The GW is the only laundry spot at CR, but it is close to the pool. I've never had a problem getting a couple of machines, just don't overload the dryer or your clothes will take forever to dry, (this is the case at all Deluxes). There are photos of the laundry room in the GUEST SERVICES chapter of the thread. Can someone tell me how to pay for the washing machines at CR. Do I need quarters or can my magic band be swiped? Also, is the only set of washers by the gardrn wing and are they close to the pool? Hate the thought of doing laundry on vacation, but we're staying 10 nights, and that would be a lot of clothes to pack!![]()
YAY! I hope mom and baby are doing well and happy planning!98 days until our 1st CR stay!!
We had our baby boy on Monday, and I am on maternity leave so plenty of time to get into trip planning details!![]()
Found out that we won't be able to switch to a villa or CL (tried that, too), due to the special reservation we have so I'll probably book BLT for the summer instead since we'll be using the military rate that will allow a villa booking. Thanks for askingHi KOOK
I agree. What one person likes, the next one will not.
How is your trip planning coming along? Any luck with snagging a 1 bedroom?

From this map you can see it's a short walk even from the furthest room. The rooms that are closest to the Tower are the Standard View rooms that face the parking lot and monorail.Just booked a Garden Wing room (first deluxe for us) and I am curious as to how far a walk it is from the middle of the garden wing to the main building and to MK. Some of what I read is that Garden wing is not very desirable. We are accustomed to staying in moderates so walking is not an issue for us. I am just wondering if it is worth the extra money to stay at CR.

Being able to walk to the MK and monorail to Epcot, MK, Poly and GF is so convenient and the Garden View rooms that face Bay Lake have amazing views!
Your request sounds perfect. Do you need to link your reservations so that you're near each other or request adjoining or connecting rooms? We're movin' on up! With the recent discount we upgraded from the GW to the main tower with a Bay Lake View. My TA requested a higher floor and away from Chef Mickey's. Are there really specific requests that are ideal, like:
9th floor with an odd number or the like?
We have 2 rooms with 6 adults and two 5-year-old princesses.
Thanks!
THANK YOU so much for posting the great news! We've waited a long time for this news and I just hope they still have some when we arrive in March.New Contemporary Resort merchandise is available!!!! I would love to have one of the coffee mugs.

Good advice and welcome to the thread.I always budget around 90 minutes for any resort (from exiting the plane to entering the resort). Most of our experiences have been in the 60-75 minute range. I would be very cautious of scheduling a dinner on arrival day though because there are so many things that could delay you. The only time we made an ADR we were landing at MCO at 8 am and had an ADR for California Grill at 8 pm.
