Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

I used to use one with an agency. I loved him. Sadly he passed away a few years ago. 😔 I did have someone from his agency book my universal part. I was too up in the air with Disney and I didn't love the new TA . I switch resorts constantly these days so I would drive them nuts.

It's a shame we can't recommend TAs on here - I change all the time also and mine hasn't kicked me to the curb or refused anything yet!

We have a CL room booked at BWI the end of July. Since the lounge will not be open, I was wondering if anyone else was offered a discount or any compensation for no CL service?

I'm in, I'm in lol. I'm on hold as of 4:47. Never been so happy for hold music. I pray my phone battery holds out (my home phone, only have the cordless). Edited to say that is 5:47. Still holding just about an hour later. I just ordered wendys from door dash for the kids🤣🤣 boo bash is more important than cooking. Ny husband is away on a golf trip so Wendy's it is.
I know I'm a full day later, but I JUST NOW got through on the line. We finished eating dinner a little before 7 and I was like "I'm going down to look at disboards and see what's up with the disboards" and when I came down to my office I though "oh, what the heck, I'll dial and see". I got the "all circuits are busy" 3 times in a row, said I'd give it one more shot, and wouldn't you know 4th time was the charm. I almost fell out of my chair! Glad we already ate and my husband is home to clean up dinner (which is normally his evening task anyway, it's all I ask because I hate doing it lol). I told him "this could be hours!" and he's like "go for it, this is important" It's times like this I realize I married the right man. Thankful I have my wireless charger on my desk just in case.

so...does CL/services still do the restaurant reservations? We used to do the platinum plan and in their services booking restaurants, tours, tickets to shows) was included. We just got standard rooms and once was upgraded to CL. (Poly, Hawaii blg. 3rd fl MK view) loved it!

now we are booked CL BWI last week in Sept 2021. We have an estimated list of restaurants and park passes already planned. should reach out to them soon Or when do they reach out?

Thanks mickeynut1. Is it more formal in RPC? We're traveling with teens/tweens who liked coming in from the parks and going directly to the lounge. Is that frowned on in RPC?

You're welcome! As a pp posted, RPC is not more formal than SL and you can most certainly go directly to the lounge after returning from the parks :).

Not sure what they are still doing over at DSS, but if they haven't called you, I would at least call them before your 60 days ADR booking window opens (or before the booking window opens for any of those things). Once it opens they have the same chance of getting ADRs as you do. I assume you have made park pass reservations yourself, already.

Also I'm sure that any regular here who is contacted by DSS will post it here so you get an idea of what will be happening.

Hi CL fans. My family and I have stayed at GF Sugarloaf several times and really enjoy the relaxed club level lounge there. Have any of you stayed both RPC and Sugarloaf? What are the biggest differences between the two? We're planning another trip and so far only RPC has a projected opening date. Thanks in advance!
SL has a quick location to the courtyard pool and is nice in the warmer months. The building is small and you don’t have to wait for elevators, have a long walk to your room. That can be helpful to some families.

Food and drinks almost identical . At the end last year they started to cut some things form SL like the wafffles.

What I liked about RPC is having 2 outdoor large balconies off the lounge, view of lobby below, all kinds of fun seating, the elevator on far end which drops you by Gaspies , the views vary from each floor, the view of mono plus view of Epcot and castle, fireworks etc.

How about popping down to shop?

Quick mono access!

Yet you see families of all shapes and sizes either dressed up to head out to dining or all wearing matching tshirts etc.

I did enjoy the music below and hopefully that will be back soon.A6FC5727-B81F-46F2-A949-6D37EE4DAD1F.jpegA45B2201-DCEA-4A93-8700-2BCA8532B6D1.jpeg097A35A4-1E1C-47E3-9027-44C792143696.jpegCFBFE8CB-B007-4AAB-BAA7-019FA4D0F680.jpeg77633E8C-E29E-4900-80FE-16B48D5D5631.jpeg1C7B0DA0-4644-4095-AEB3-BB4B71D3E877.jpeg7959A078-FD57-429A-9680-185EDAB4C286.jpeg92BB2F21-444E-4BCB-BB59-1D0EF396D5D1.jpeg

I have a single night booked before my CR 50th stay and I CAN’T WAIT!😍

Just FYI, Signature Services wasn’t opening until 9, unless that has changed recently. You can book ADRs online at 6 am, phone lines open at 7. So if you have hard to get spots, you might want to try yourself at 6 or 7. By the time SS starts, other people will have been booking for 3 hours. They can only get what is available to anyone else. They don’t get any special consideration.

I’ve been distracted lately over Ohana noodle-gate. 😠

But I’ll add that we love RPC. We started off staying Sugarloaf, but once we made the switch it became very hard to go back. Love being up top (similar to WL), music playing (not sure if this is coming back), easy access to all the stores. Just much less congested than Sugarloaf - and they don’t run out of food on busy nights :) . At the SL pricepoint, I prefer staying at the Poly or Yacht/Beach area. Boardwalk may be a new one for me this year.

SL is also slightly more convenient to the boat dock and walking path when you come back at night so there's that too.

But that back elevator in RPC is SO convenient...my room was literally steps from it and it felt like I had a private elevator lol. My room was right above Gaspies. So fantastic to quickly fill my mug and get to the pool, and walk to MK.

As far as dress goes obviously CL is not on right now but GF in general is so much more laid back than people make it out to be. This is still Disney and people are still dressed for theme parks, it's not like every day is formal night on a cruise lol. At night you might see people spiffed up a little to go to Narcoosee's or Enchanted Rose for date night or something but it's no more formal than any other resort I've stayed at. I honestly fell in love with the place and one day when actual discounts come back I would love to stay there again with my gf and experience RPC "for real". It was such a tease passing through that empty lounge to get to the lobby elevator. :(

Maybe an odd question--but how accessible is RPC if you don't use elevators? A family member has severe claustrophobia and only uses stairs, but can climb up to 5 flights. I assume there is stair access to be compliant with fire codes, but not sure if guests have regular access to the stairs.

I'll miss the noodles but the kielbasa and shrimp casserole make my blood boil o_O

Something tells me the noodles will be back, this isn't the first time they tried that and there was an uproar and they walked it back. I just wonder if the noodles will still be available at Tambu Lounge.

I mean, I love rice, and I never ate the shrimp anyway because I don't like seafood. I just don't see what's especially Asian or Polynesian about kielbasa and casserole lol.

I hope things get back to normal soon!

YEP lol. WE are ready for normal!!

Not really and no
Thanks!

Thanks! These replies are making me feel better about RPC. We love the GF, but have stayed CL at the Beach Club. We miss the monorail convenience. And nice to hear that they don't run out of food. We've time a trip back from the parks hoping to get a bite to eat and were disappointed that all was gone!

We'll probably be at RPC then! Too much work to book CL RPC now and then change it later if SL opens up, so RPC it will be. We'll be leaving the formal wear at home

AFAIK you have to take the elevator to get to RPC. Once you are on the 3rd floor there are easily accessible stairs between floors 3 and 5, but you have to take an elevator to get to at least 3. I’m sure there are stairs for emergencies, but I have never seem any for guest use. We were in a deluxe king room in the second floor once, and from that section we had to take an elevator to get to 3 or 4 for the lounge or concierge, or lobby access, and then another elevator down to the main lobby and monorail. How I would have loved stairs to make that easier, or a door to let us out onto the second floor where the shops and elevator are.
