Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

It is hard to say. In the past you sometimes got a card in the mail, sometimes a phone call or sometimes an email. They would simply say here is the phone number and wecome to wdw etc.

In the old days they did more. Now I only use them to email a room request and arrival time. Thats it.

You buy your own tickets, book your park res, and book your own dining so they not as needed compared to years past.

They no longer have dining other than the website.

I don't think anyone has been contacted yet because no one here has reported it yet. I have cl in Sept and no word yet. WAIT N SEE.

We have been doing that a lot this past year lol.

Welcome to the CL thread, it is a fun place to be!:welcome:
Do they not help you with your dining reservations anymore? I used to get great itineraries from them in 2008, 2010, 2013, 2015, 2017! I hope they still help in this capacity

We stay at Wilderness Lodge right before or after thanksgiving since 2014. In 2018, the only rooms available were Club Level. We booked it and again in 2019 and had planned to in 2020 also. I loved how as an early riser , I could go grab breakfast and people watch or read a book in the lounge while the rest of the family slept in. Also night in the evenings, while people took turns taking showers in the room, others could sit in the lounge and enjoy a drink and dessert

well no tickets for me. My phone died😔 I ordered a new one from Amazon. Has speakers phone on the base as well as handsets. I picked it based on delivery day. I could cry lol. Will try tomorrow.
Oh my goodness what a day you had. Do you ever use a TA? They can book for you. It might be worth just getting tickets from them.
Good luck, hope you get the tickets. 🎃

I never used them . I just go online and book. I also often booked only a few months away. I’d book room then dining. However with cl we didn’t need dining. We are light eaters.

For those who book a year out etc and trips revolve around dining maybe it was more helpful.?

I also enjoy Disney planning and dont like sharing😂

Well if they dont do all the things they use to do why are the prices so high? I know thats a dumb question???? And why did I book club level????

I used to use one with an agency. I loved him. Sadly he passed away a few years ago. 😔 I did have someone from his agency book my universal part. I was too up in the air with Disney and I didn't love the new TA . I switch resorts constantly these days so I would drive them nuts.

This is my Boo Bash daily update-

I got through at 659. Got to work at 750 and phone service went out. I'm in tears and cranky. Should have called out. 😔

Wow, this is all crazy. Unfortunately there aren’t any Boo Bash scheduled for our fall trip since we are going right over the 50th, but if there had been I would have been in the same boat you are right now. I can’t believe how hard it is to buy tickets, why on earth couldn’t they have managed to do it online? I’m sure there is a way to make it recognize a resort stay prior to allowing you to purchase. Every time Disney releases something new they amaze me even more at how terrible the roll out is.

It is mindboggling. The resort confirmation number could have created a link to purchase . I'm currently on hold for 90 minutes. I have various people listening to hold music :scared:

He was my agent too. He was the absolute best, he is still thought of when I plan Disney trips. I haven’t used them since J passed, but hope to this year.

The bulk of the price you pay is to be in a deluxe resort. CL adds anywhere from $50-$200/night, ime. I also like to do all my own planning. I will say that once you are at the resort, and you have any type of problem, ask a CL CM and it will be taken care of. They really do try to make your stay pleasant.

This is my first time using them for something but I do think of him often. My friend used him as well. A 2 minute call to give my CC would end up a half hour or more just chatting all things Disney.

On different news. I got them!!!! I'm going to Boo Bash 8/24. She was clear it's an after hours event not a Halloween party. I'm exhausted!

So happy you were finally able to get them!

Well, we are all hoping that things will be something similar to what they were, and that hope is enough to make a lot of us book (although I’m sure we’re all still hoping for a discount)! Here’s to hoping...

Small world - He was my agent as well! I would almost always book trips myself, but there were instances where they had special rates & availability at the Poly for example. He was always very responsive and helpful. Really unfortunate.

Yep thats why :cloud9:

Yes I agree with @Eastern they do solve problems quicker if you have any issues.

I think the time savings my most favorite thing. 2nd the relationships I have had with cl lounge staff over the years. PRICELESS

Hi CL fans. My family and I have stayed at GF Sugarloaf several times and really enjoy the relaxed club level lounge there. Have any of you stayed both RPC and Sugarloaf? What are the biggest differences between the two? We're planning another trip and so far only RPC has a projected opening date. Thanks in advance!

The biggest difference to me is the lounge/atmosphere, with RPC being large/spacious with plenty of seating. I found the SL lounge small/chaotic and not very relaxing. RPC, in IMO, has a much more relaxed atmosphere with beautiful views of the resort grounds, not to mention it also overlooks the lobby below. It's two totally different worlds to me, with RPC being my favorite of the two.

Thanks mickeynut1. Is it more formal in RPC? We're traveling with teens/tweens who liked coming in from the parks and going directly to the lounge. Is that frowned on in RPC?
