Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Ok forgot about the delayed CL reopenings. In that case I would probably do WL CL before Christmas. I think it is going to be pretty busy at WDW, no matter when you go, for the forseeable future.

No joke. Room availability around Thanksgiving is actually much worse than around Christmas right now.
Maybe Poly CL will come back sooner!!

So, I changed my solo trip dates to attend boo bash (and because my husbands work schedule changed), and of course the next day CL room bookings are announced. I would have been able to stay CL at BWI if I had been able to keep my original dates but not for the new dates. I am bawling . Oh well, at least I know they will be there for future trips.

Ok… I’m going in circles but I’ve changed my mind again!!!
I’m considering maybe doing wilderness lodge club level this time for our trip and I booked us 2 CL rooms. Those who have stayed CL at Old Faithful what do you like about WL? Is it a good resort choice? I like the look of the new room Reno’s and the boat to MK is quaint. The pool looks lovely too! I know I’ll have to deal with buses but I think I’m resigning to the fact that WDW means buses… would ℒℴ𝓋ℯ to hear the great things about WL!

We stayed there in May 2017. It was my son’s first trip. We really couldn’t have had a better experience. The lounge is lovely and has an amazing view of the huge lobby. I’m not sure if you have kids but there’s a smaller table and TV there suitable for kids. We liked the food. We ate breakfast there most mornings and found that the evening offerings were sufficient for dinner. They also had beer on draft (usually a specialty) in addition to the regular bottled options and my DH liked that. There was also bottled water available, which I guess isn’t the case in all locations? The resort itself is beautiful. My son enjoyed the pool and the boat to MK. We drove everywhere except MK, so I can’t really comment on the transportation. We like trying a different resort every time we go, but this one is probably at the top of resorts I’d stay in again.

Thanks so much for your post! My kids are adults themselves now - 29 and 25, this why I had to book us 2 club rooms the resort sounds beautiful! We loved AKL every time we’ve stayed, the only downside to this resort I can see will be the bussing… but it has the boat to MK too, so that is quaint. Also being In the MK area, perhaps bussing won’t be as long as it was from AKL. Looking forward to trying something new! Plus there’s always Uber or Lyft if it gets too bad lolol We’re in Disney it can’t be that bad can it?

Hi , I was last there in December 2015 and l loved the lounge ( good food at breakfast and at dinner) . Loved looking down from the seating area at the Christmas tree in the centre of the lobby. Watching the Electrical Water Pagent from the lakeshore then a short walk back to the room was great.. At one of the corners in the corridors you could see the MK fireworks. The boat to MK was fantastic and also the smaller boat to the Contemporary then you could explore the Contemporary grounds and hotel then walk to MK.

Also there is a bus from WL to MK. Since its so close they run pretty fast. We preferred that for ropedrop and used boat for leisure time.

I love sitting along the railings in the lounge vs in the lounge room seating.

FYI there are bathrooms nearby for arrival and checkout.

Staff there has always been great. I booked wl cl for January.

It is hard to say. In the past you sometimes got a card in the mail, sometimes a phone call or sometimes an email. They would simply say here is the phone number and wecome to wdw etc.

In the old days they did more. Now I only use them to email a room request and arrival time. Thats it.

You buy your own tickets, book your park res, and book your own dining so they not as needed compared to years past.

They no longer have dining other than the website.

I don't think anyone has been contacted yet because no one here has reported it yet. I have cl in Sept and no word yet. WAIT N SEE.

We have been doing that a lot this past year lol.

Based on their track record pre pandemic, and now after all of the chaos and staffing issues everywhere, I’m going to say not likely. However, maybe they turned over a new leaf during the shutdown and things will work as they should?!

back in 2020, I actually got a phone call.

I got a phone call once and a post card once. However, despite not having nearly as many CL stays as many of you, we’ve probably stayed CL around 15 times. So 2/15 isn’t great.

I'm in, I'm in lol. I'm on hold as of 4:47. Never been so happy for hold music. I pray my phone battery holds out (my home phone, only have the cordless). Edited to say that is 5:47. Still holding just about an hour later. I just ordered wendys from door dash for the kids boo bash is more important than cooking. Ny husband is away on a golf trip so Wendy's it is.

Did all of the CL info on page 1 get taken down when CL stopped for COVID? Or is there more "sticky" type info further in. Can't say I've read all 1500+ pages . Maybe when CL starts back up it would be a good time for a new thread with updated info!

well no tickets for me. My phone died I ordered a new one from Amazon. Has speakers phone on the base as well as handsets. I picked it based on delivery day. I could cry lol. Will try tomorrow.

I believe the OP deleted most of it awhile back as the information and pics had become quite stale/out of date over time.
