Did you have one of the "special" cheap rates that were available for about 30 minutes? We did....$400.00 per night....April 16-22...we cancelled it...easy come/easy go. Rescheduled for May 6-13 and am not feeling the love that it's gonna happen.Well, bad news here. My special stay at the cottage was due to being April 1. Trip being cancelled in the morning![]()
Thanks for all the pics of Poly TPV! With heavy hearts we officially canceled our May trip yesterday and don't know when we will reschedule as yet. But to give ourselves something to look forward to for whenever we do, we decided to definitely do TPV.
Thing is, all this talk of GF RPC is making me wonder...originally when we booked the May trip we wanted to try a GF/Poly split, but the availability didn't work out for our dates so we just booked full Poly. Now, I'm wondering about revisiting that idea, but as a CL split! A girl can dream right?![]()

We lost our cottage room special rate too when we had to reschedule our March 27-April 4 trip. No big deal. While I would have loved to have experienced the cottage room, that rate was not supposed to happen. We were able to get passholder discount on standard club level room for May 29-June 6. We have to pay a little more, but I am fine with it. Our room will be closer to the lounge, we wont have to walk in rain to room, and will be easier to go back to room if needed.Did you have one of the "special" cheap rates that were available for about 30 minutes? I totally agree with you. That deal was too good to be true anywayWe lost our cottage room special rate too when we had to reschedule our March 27-April 4 trip. No big deal. I did email for a room request for a future cl stay. They did return my email just like previously.Discovered much to my chagrin that DSS closed their phone lines until 3/31 and are only operating via email for the moment. Has anyone had success contacting them to get FP refunds? With all the insanity that blew up in the last couple of weeks here, I completely forgot to cancel them before I cancelled our Poly reservation. And even though our resort reservation is no longer showing in MDE we still see all our FPs.

Go ahead and email, it should work.
We have only done CL once, and I didn't have them do our advance dining reservations (our TA did that for us!) or the fast passes. I didn't even think about using the signature service until about 3 weeks before our trip, well past the first available days we had to set those up. However, we needed to make a change to our reservations once we were on property, and it was so nice to sit at the desk with a nice beverage while the concierge made it happen. DS and DH had snacks in the lounge at the same time, so I got to relax!I hope this is the best place to post my questions. So happy I found this thread and plan to read through as much as I can! We originally had a trip booked for April to stay at the Grand Floridian - outer building garden view. I moved this trip to August and with the extension of discounts was able to upgrade to Outer Building Club Level
I have never stayed Club Level in my life and am so excited for this indulgence - optimistic we get through this coronavirus by then. I am completely unfamiliar with Signature Service. I have a few questions:
Have you used them for dining reservations before? Have you found them helpful? Do you scale back on dining reservations because of the Club Level offerings?
Now fast passes - do you have DSS make them for you or do you still book your own? Do you contact them only if you cannot manage to secure what you hoped for? Do many of you purchase the extra 3 per person?
Those are the questions I have so far. I welcome any other tips! Looking to make this vacation extra magical - we are all a bit sad that we had to cancel our original plans but totally are onboard with why. Thanks in advance!
I think we won’t know until they reopen — CMs will know shortly before. My best guess is that it will still be self serve. We were at AKL 3-10 thru 3-15 and, even though the virus was much in the news and right before the theme parks closed, it remained self serve for food. There was a lot more cleaning of the buffet area and individual tables. The staff really did their best under the circumstances.Since I have lots of time to ponder; how will Disney handle club level once they reopen? Will individuals still serve themselves the food offerings and drinks? I am curious...![]()
This morning, my husband went grocery shopping. For the first time, there were clear barriers up for the cashiers, and no baggers. I always hated people touching my bags anyway, and I would wipe them down after I got home. Anyway, he was very happy to see the barriers up which protect both the employees and the customers.Since I have lots of time to ponder; how will Disney handle club level once they reopen?
