Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Here at poly cl now and thought I'd post quickly while kids are sleeping. We arrived Tuesday and despite not getting connecting rooms (my only request!) we are extremely pleased!! Our rooms are at the end of the hall and very quiet. Staff has been wonderful! Rooms are very clean!! (Although the the tub faucet needs some caulking). Turn down every night and rooms clean when we get back from parks around 1pm. Offering have been plentiful. Cups are always full. We are encouraged to 'take more' and 'we are here to help you'. Got welcoming chocolates. We've been greater warmly every time we see a cast member. I was hesitant about cl after reading reviews. Well guess what - I am hooked! I don't know how we'll be able to stay non-cl now. Such a great convenience with little kids and grandparents.

Thanks for posting! Your trip sounds great so far! Keep the live reports coming!

Here's a positive - I was sure we missed turn down because we were napping and when we got up all the house keeping carts were gone. No big deal. Well - somehow in the course of about two hours they turned down the room. So lovely to come back to that. Evening apps were egg rolls and quesadilla, veggies, fruit, cheese and crackers. Not at good as last nights bacon wrapped meatball or the sushi. Every night we've had veggies, fruit, cheese and crackers. Breakfast is basic with hard boiled eggs. Snacks during the day have been chips, gold fish, yogurt covered pretzels. My daughter is addicted to POG juice. Front desk had sand buckets for the kids. Big hit!

Your posts are making we want to book a trip! Sounds a lot like our first Poly CL experience several years ago. Glad you're having a good trip!

Your menu item descriptions don't seem to match threats or items in the menus posted on Tikiman pages. Is there a chance you can share updated menus?

Checked in main lobby and was escorted to CL. where we were 'checked in' again in a sense. I thought that was odd. We didn't do online check in. Arrived at 11ish. Rooms were ready around 2ish. And luggage was there when we got to the rooms.
Did you check in in the Clubnor at the front desk?

Her descriptions so far sound exactly like our food for the last 2 years at Poly (I posted pictures of each night's hot apps last July). I'll be curious to hear about the rest of their trip and if anything is different than the norm. I keep hoping they'll add/change/mix things up a bit.

I've heard they have eliminated a lot of things at CL at AKL, such as turn down service and private check in at lounge. Is that true?? Anything else I might miss on my first visit in November? And, on the glass half full side, what are my best things to look forward to on my first visit to CL. Been to AKL many, many times but haven't done CL! Thank you

Score one for IPO. When I struck out making a reservation for BOG, I sent them an email. Didn't see any results then last week when making Fastpass reservations I noticed a 6pm BOG appeared on the day we asked them to help.

Glad IPO was able to get BoG :thumbsup2.

Opinions please,
Is poly club level worth it for just 1 night? We'll be arriving around noon and checking out the next day to move to the GF.
We won't have park tickets for the first night so we'll spend most of our time at the pool or Disney Springs.

If you will be spending time at the resort, I think Poly CL would be worth it (but Poly is our favorite, so it would be an easy choice for me :)).

So I'm struggling to make a decision on whether or not to use IPO for our dining reservations. If I give them my selections well in advance of the 180 day mark, do they normally have issues getting reservations? Should I be online anyway when my dates open to get the tough ones (CRT, BOG...)? Just curious which route to take. We have a party of 5, so not the easiest number to seat.

I prefer to book everything myself, but that's just my preference. You can give your ADRs to IPO, as well as try to book yourself. If you get any duplicates, you can always cancel what you don't need ;).

I think it might to, there is so much to look forward to and wonderful DISers to hang with. Definitely try BWI CL it is amazing, I can't even describe it!

I agree! The Poly is amazing with so much to see/do, and other DISers being there at the same time just adds to it :goodvibes.

Thanks, BWI CL is definitely on the list to try ::yes::.

Glad someone came back to do turn down. Sounds like you're having a fabulous trip! :goodvibes

I can't answer about check in, but turn down service is still available, you just have to request it :).

Great idea! Thanks!

Well that's better than my DS. He has taken to simply calling it "The Club." "Daddy can we go to the club?" "Daddy what kind of snacks are in the club today?" "Daddy, I'd rather just eat at the club than go to our Be our Guest reservations that I know you searched every day for 3 months to get....":mad::mad: Grrrr.....

My son called it "that place with the Cheerios." As in "I want to go back to that place with the Cheerios."

We'll be checking into Poly CL in 6 days. Between work and family drama (not immediate, thank heavens), I'm hoping for low stress. That's honestly all I care about. Well, that, and a few cocktails from Trader Sam's.

What?!? You know have to specifically request turn down?!? Ugh!

AFAIK, it's only AKL that is by request only. I think it's still customary at the other deluxes ;).

Great idea! Thanks!

You're welcome :).

That is too cute :goodvibes.

Hope you have a great trip :wizard:.

I asked the IPO at AKL about check-in. they said notify someone out front when you arrive and they will contact the CL to come get you for check-in. They also took note of our arrival time.

My children call CL the "gummy bear" room! Lol

If Steve is working, just ask for an "Original Rum Runner" at the main pool bar...life will be just fine.......:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1
