There are going to be some unhappy guests when that happens. Nobody likes the 2nd floor.

I will add for those disappointed, that is so much easier to take food and drinks back to your room if on the same floor as the lounge. No stairs to trip on or elevator buttons to try to push without a free hand. At least there is that!

However, I would prefer 1st or 3rd floor over 2 myself if available

I bailed on the Poly GV CL room we had for August 19th. I just don't want to deal with construction and everything it brings. I got a SV CL room at the Beach Club for the same price which I'm thrilled with. We were doing one night at the Poly and then 7 nights at the BC so now we can just stay at the BC for our entire trip.

I can't believe some of the things I read about what CMs tell people. Sometimes it's not even close to accurate .

I had to call the Poly IPO about an issue I was having with the on-line check in. The CM said the same as mentioned above in this thread...first floor GV CL rooms to be taken out of service starting next week. Guests to be moved to the 2nd and 3rd floor. He volunteered this information, I did not have to ask.

I wonder how many rooms that takes out of inventory?

You will love BC CL!! It is one of my DD's favorites and the new rooms are amazing

Good point, I didn't think about that .

I know this has probably been asked and answered (numerous times) and I could have just missed it, but is there an estimate as to how long the quiet pool construction is supposed to take?

Congratulations! What a great way to celebrate your son's birthday! Yes you can use the lounge right away, we commonly check-in early so we can enjoy breakfast. You can also use the lounge all day on checkout day as well.

The day we check out of RPC this fall my mom is coming in to Orlando and we are all staying 3 nights in a nearby off property hotel. My husband and I plan to return to GF to get one last night in the lounge at the start of our eating around the world at Epcot adults only date! fun fun!

Ok so, the CM I talked to at check in must have been mistaken. The CR (tower club is all i can speak for) definitely does have the texting service! I was able to use it today. They ultimately weren't able to get what I wanted but here is a text message screenshot showing it exists. It's worth noting that the names of people I texted weren't anyone I met up here at the tower club so it might be handled elsewhere which would explain them not knowing. Hope this helps clear up some of the confusion!
