Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

One thing to note was that they cms always asked if we were done when they were getting ready to switch to a new service or at the end of the night. They encouraged us to take as much as we wanted...even Saranwrapped cookies for my husband as they said if we didn't take it they'd just be throwing everything out!!! The amount of food was bigger than I expected and most nights I only ordered soup or salad for dinner as I had had enough from the cl earlier.

I remember this about staying at CR!! It's the only CL where we've encountered this, and we really liked it because it made us feel comfortable taking as much as we wanted:). The CM's would often surprise us with a container full of the goodies our kids loved because they said they would just be throwing them in the garbage if the guests didn't take the food. My kids were younger, so I think the CM's got a kick out of the enjoyment it gave the kids, along with the hugs of course lol.

Hi! Can you please talk to me about WL CL? I'm having second thoughts about CR CL 9/16-9/20 and am considering switching to WL and I'm not sure if I should pull the trigger or not, due to construction at the WL. I'm interested in potentially booking a deluxe room, would you or would you stay with a TP view CL at CR? I saw pictures on the WL thread and it looks like there's a lot of seating around the lounge, can anyone confirm?

I called IPO this morning to ask about my own trip arriving Sept 27. We need afternoon naps for my 2. They told me flat out to move. She said they will be done with construction project they are currently doing but will have started the next one by then and there would be afternoon noise. I didn't think to ask when that project was stating. We were booked in a deluxe. One thing, if you are morning people anyway and are not looking to nap, the construction might be okay. I moved my reservation today to GF. Good luck with your decision.

Help! A GF standard RPC GF room just became available. We are staying at GF for one night after our 9 nights BC CL. The increase in cost is $130 for the RPC room. Should I change our room to RPC? We plan on using this "bonus" (previously it was going to be the day we fly home) day as a resort day...maybe going to Epcot at night. We are a family of five....my husband, three teen kids and me.

Is anyone back recently from Poly to know if they're doing the texting service yet (for 4th FP)? I know BC is and it ended up enriching our vacation tremendously! I know they're experimenting with different things, etc. All I want to know is if anyone has recently returned from Poly with this info:sunny: Thanks!!

Yes, this is offered at all the CLs.

I wanted to mention that with the deluxe kings in RPC you are not guaranteed one of the larger rooms. There are 9 deluxe kings that are on the second floor. These rooms are the same size as a standard but feature MK view, jetted tubs and a balcony. There are 6 deluxe kings in the atrium area in the turrets, these are the larger rooms with mainly courtyard or garden views. They do not have a balcony or jetted tub. Either style is by request only with neither guaranteed.

If size is more important that CL you may want to look into the deluxe outer building rooms that are bookable. They have a nice bump out in the turret that as a sitting area and are larger than a standard. I just did not want you to be surprised. There are bookable deluxe queens in RPC also. All of those are the larger rooms with 2 different floorplans.

We loved everything about WL CL. We found the food offerings great, the lounge very comfortable with plenty of seating, and the CL CMs were always friendly and willing to help in any way. The lounge overlooks the lobby with seating arranged around the railing, with some tables away from the railing along the wall. CR CL is on our list to try, but as far as WL CL, I don't think you'd regret staying there if you choose to change resorts (that is if the construction wouldn't be an issue for you). Good luck.

Personally, yes but we really enjoy the atmosphere of the lounge in RPC. Although I would really try to make any park activity MK as it is so easy to come and go there from GF.

I agree with baler31 on this one, but we are fans of RPC too...we love to listen to the band but don't like fighting for a seat in the main lobby. If you're staying in RPC, you don't need a seat in the main lobby because you can sit in the lounge:) And I would suggest visiting Epcot in the evening while you are at BC since it's so close. If you are going to go to a park the night you are at GF, I would go to MK!

Yes! I agree with baler and dispro. Especially for a one-night stay, I'd switch to RPC. We stayed two nights in RPC as part of a split stay in January. I switched my reservation back and forth from RPC to SL to RPC - I just couldn't decide.

In the end, I was SO happy we went with RPC. Loved the lounge - great views, so open, the band in the afternoons was wonderful. And the convenience of stepping off the monorail and going up to our room could not be beat. The views from our room were absolutely fabulous - and that was standard RPC. I also loved the walk to/fro our room - just stepping out the door into the open space (rather than the traditional resort corridor) was a treat.

Our teen boys didn't love GF overall as much as our youngest son and I did. They love the Poly vibe and the AKL/WL theming. But they appreciated all that was RPC and were glad we upgraded from SL.

I agree with mickeynut1. I had one of my best trips ever at the WL in January. The beauty of the resort, the theming everywhere, and the outstanding CMs, made for a fantastic time. The lounge was terrific, and I loved to sit at one of the tables at the Bay Lake end and enjoy the view. I loved the style of food they serve in the lounge. I am sad that it will be quite a while before the upheaval and construction are done, and that the beach is going away in the process. Although it was my last chance to stay there before the changes, I just switched my late August/early September trip to the Grand and am going to concentrate on the many positives about staying there. I want to be somewhere peaceful and serene, so construction zones are out for me. But that's me - many people have reported not minding even the major projects over at the Poly, so it's clearly very individual. I will however, miss the beautiful trees, the wooded areas and gardens, the cobbler and other luscious food offerings!! I'm sure it will go back to being one of my top favorites when the dust settles.

So I'm a big fan of WL CL. I usually recommend it to anyone/everyone who will listen! However, with that being said...

CR! A thousand times CR!!!

If you have a theme park view room at the CR booked, you're in for the treat of a lifetime. You can watch the fireworks from your private balcony. You'll have one of the biggest standard rooms on property. And you'll have the freakin' monorail IN THE HOTEL! :) Don't get me wrong, WL is spectacular and the grounds are really second to none. It's peaceful and the CL is really great. But there will be construction, and besides that, the sheer convenience, history, "feel," and view make CR the hands-down winner in my book. I'm actually kinda surprised everyone else suggested switching to WL. You'll have a great time at a wonderful hotel either way, but a chance to stay CL at CR is such an experience.

Opinions please!! Last week of September which would you choose?

BC Deluxe CL Room
BW Deluxe CL Room

There are 5 of us Me, DH, DS (13), DS (11), DD (10)

Thanks!!

Does anyone know if there are plans to enlarge the YC lounge like they did at the BC?

Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate the opinions I received. I always do this, I can never make up my darn mind! Since we already have TPV CL booked, might as well keep it and not risk switching to WL and getting caught up in the construction! I'm going to keep my eye on the status of things as September gets closer, I can always switch at the last minute as this part of the trip is booked as RO. The last thing I want to do is be stuck in a construction zone. On the other hand, WL will probably be under construction for a couple of years and I'm wondering if I should squeeze in before things really get going and stay at CR a few months later on the next trip... arggggh I need to stop doing this to myself! :sad2: :ssst:

Does anyone know if there are plans to enlarge the YC lounge like they did at the BC?

Have you asked on the YC/BC thread? I know they are going to renovate the rooms, but I don't know about the lounge. But if you find out, I'd love to know! We just stayed at BC, and the lounge is beautiful, but we did have noisy neighbors who let their kids scream at 6:15 am! I have heard that YC has a lot of convention people, so I wonder if that's what makes it a bit more quiet (fewer kids)??

Wow - that fast?! Awesome, thanks! I remember we all discussed this topic (4th FP via text) after the Easter break vacations and some resorts weren't offering it yet....I just wanted to confirm someone has received this perk in the last 1-2 months at Poly specifically. So thanks for the great news!
