Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

So we will be at the Poly in Club Level on Wednesday, August 19th. We have stayed at the BC Club Level the last 10 years so we know how it works there but I was curious if anyone had any advice, tips etc. on the Poly Club Level. Maybe a room to request, food offerings etc. Any suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated.

My family loves the YC/BC setup, but we also had a couple of fantastic visits at the Poly CL. For one thing, no matter where your room is you aren't all that far from the lounge (unlike BC, where we had the 2nd to last room down that endless corridor). Also, it's so convenient to the pool area, so you can easily go in and grab a snack and a drink if you want something. The view is fantastic, and the Poly vibe just feels more laid-back and relaxing. Also, there is a very different feel over on that side of "the world" - if you have a chance to rent one of the little boats on the lake it's really fun. And you will have a great view of the fireworks over the castle from the Poly! As for a room request, we like having a balcony so that is what I asked for. I hope you have a wonderful time at the Poly!

I went and blew up my September plans this morning, lol! We are now doing 5 nights at BWI CL 9/12-9/17, followed by 3 nights at GF RPC deluxe room! Seeing as this is our "1st anniversary" trip, I thought it would be nice to get back to the GF since we were married/honeymooned there last November. I would have loved 4 nights there, but with my original CR bounce back there were only 3 nights available. I'm so much more excited now I can hardly contain myself!!! 88 days to go!
:jumping1::dancer::jumping1:

So excited!! Staying Club Level for the first time in September.nwe were originally booked at GF SL club but to save money we switched to Wilderness Lodge CL sept 10th-13th! Since we've never stayed club level I have some questions:

Do we get an email from WL IPO? We got an email from The GF the same day we made the reservation. Should we get a similar email for WL?

Can IPO get some allergy safe foods since I won't be able to eat anything in the lounge? Just things like Enjoy Life cookies, enjoy life chocolate bars, Rice Dream Vanilla and/or chocolate rice milk?

Also, if I want allergy safe Mickey waffles is there anyway to get those in the lounge or will I still need to go to Roaring Forks for my allergy Mickey waffles and my allergy chicken tenders?

We would really like a microwave so I can heat up my leftovers in the room since I'm not supposed to use a community microwave because of cross contact risks. I know they are only a request but can I request it through IPO.

She I also send IPO a list of my allergies with anything else we send? Would that be of any help when it comes to food and drinks in the lounge?

Sorry for all the questions. Just want to make sure we know what to expect when we get there!

Hey gang, sorry I've been MIA! My Mom is here visiting this week and we've decided to throw together a last minute vacation to Myrtle Beach! :D Ahhhhhh 7 glorious days in the sand and sun with NO KIDS!!! :beach: Just two old ladies with nothing to do and nobody to wait on! :rotfl:

Kidding of course, I will miss my boys while I'm gone. :goodvibes

Summer is marching by fast! It's only 38 days until the kids and I will be at the BC CL!!!! Can't wait!!!!!

I love reading positive reviews of Poly CL as the Poly is our favorite resort and I'm hoping to try CL sometime soon :). I agree about the little mouse boats, they are a lot of fun. We rented them during our Poly stay and we had a blast :boat:.

Congrats on booking GF RPC :wizard:. We've never stayed at BWI, but I love RPC.

1. You should get a welcome email from WL IPO, but if you don't, you can always email them and introduce yourself. Include your trip details, requests, etc.

2. I can't answer about IPO getting specific foods/snacks, but hopefully others will be able to help with that.

3. I don't know if allergy safe waffles and chicken tenders could be ordered and sent to the lounge or not. If you contact IPO, I'd include that question in the email.

4. You should be able to request a microwave through IPO.

5. I would definitely include a list of allergies when you contact IPO.

You're going to have a great time, WL CL is amazing :wizard:.

Does anyone know if the CL CM's will ask to see an ID from anyone wanting an alcoholic drink who looks under 21? We have a split stay this coming August at both CR & Poly, both CL stays, and my oldest DD will be 21 by then but honestly looks like she's 12...lol. She was asking me about it yesterday and was wondering if she should just plan to carry her ID at all times to be on the safe side? Thoughts?
I can't promise they WILL, but they very well MIGHT. Family members of mine have been carded on CL, and certainly OTHER places at WDW.

Then, my thought is that EVERY adult should ALWAYS carry ID, health insurance card, and a little cash at WDW, except maybe going to the lounge/ pool.

For that matter, it is also wise to carry an image of little ones, and ideally, a digital image of your whole party each morning, IMO. A little prevention goes a long ways.

She does plan to carry her ID around with her just in case and even went out and purchased a Vera Bradley lanyard that she plans to wear around her neck that will hold her ID :-). While I honestly do not see her drinking much at all, especially with the choices in CL, I do see her getting a frozen drink on occassion poolside.

Mmm...poolside beverages!

I've used lanyards a number of times...I have to add- sometimes the lanyard experience has not gone well for me. (pre Magic bands and pre FP+)

Lanyard one I bought AT WDW; clip broke in middle of Epcot. I made the mistake of walking towards WS and back gate GS. (Nobody there and long wait.) We were on our way to a pre-EMH ADR. I arrived VERY late. Luckily, our waiter was French. French culture tends to be laid back about how long dinner lasts. He was super sweet. Indeed, he confessed some horror at WDW's rushed ADR's timed back to back. (He got $$$ tip from us!)

Lanyard two was a non WDW lanyard packed with paper FP. All fell out - including my KTTC. I noticed right away, but card was gone in seconds! That was back when CL cards were gold. Lost an hour walking all the way from Space Mtn to GS +line. Adding insult to injury the GS office was out of gold cards! >:(

In all seriousness, I lost at least an hour both times. But both my lanyards were low quality. I now lean more towards tiny cross body bags. The only place I have to take it off is some rides at US.

Thanks for answering my questions! I was thinking that most of my question could get answered through IPO but since it's our first time at any CL I wanted to hear other people's experiences with what IPO possiblymdoes/does not handle for us. Thanks! I can't wait to go back to WL and try CL this time. We fell in love with WL back in 2006 on our first trip there but normally we do values and moderates because we always spent so much time in the parks. This time, no parks at all so 3 days of relaxing at WL!

Questions and Requests

So work has been horribly stressful and my next Disney escape was 120 days away. I needed to find a happy place before that so I am planning a quick solo trip in August to GF RPC.

So my request is - Can I be added to the log 8/15 - 8/18 GF RPC

My question for those who have stayed RPC. I booked a deluxe king. I want to put a room request on my reservation. Can any of you tell me what the best room request is for a deluxe king?

So excited that I now have something to look forward to this summer and then again in the fall. After staying at RPC, I will have stayed at all deluxe resorts club level and will have an fully vetted opinion of my favorite :flower1:

Got you added! :)

Hi! I just booked Wilderness Lodge Club Level for Dec 6-11th. I guess I waited too late as my 180 days are up and past! What are my chances of getting concierge to get me any of my dining choices this late in the game? Also do I contact them or wait for them to contact me. Last time we stayed at WL we were upgraded to concierge as a surprise and I didn't contact them prior. Thanks!

Ok I called IPO this am to see about getting some dining. I was actually able to get 2 of our choices so am happy about that. I think I'm used to concierge outside of Disney that can get you in to places. Lol. Not happening here. The IPO didn't really seem helpful and kind acted annoyed. Lol. I've only stayed club at the Poly and WL and have never asked them for anything special. What types of requests have you asked for on your past stays. Not sure what is ok to ask and what would be too much. Anyone?

I'm surprised they acted annoyed. I've requested ADRs, cancelling ME, questions about Disney floral, getting cakes (including questions about ice cream cakes) etc. Have never had any attitude from WL, BC or AKL IPO. Maybe you just caught someone on a bad day. I figure ask any questions and they will let you know what they can and can't do. Hope it gets better and you can get the things you want/need.

Thanks! I'm sure she was just having a bad day. I remember the concierge staff at WL was amazing and so much better then the club at the Poly. We are looking forward to a great trip!

You must have spoken to the same CM I did lol! I called to book my Wild Africa Trek tour, and she was either annoyed or uninterested. She told me there was no availability because they don't book more than 180 days out...I pointed out that I was well past the 180 day mark and that she should look again. Complete silence until she asked for my cc number!

I booked all of the ADRs myself, so at this point I think I'll bypass the IPO for any bookings and do them myself. Really looking forward to meeting the CL CMs when I get to WL, though! I've heard they're great :)

I would go online and check dining for yourself. It's so easy to do, and you can check back often! :) I've had luck finding things that will pop up occasionally.

You're welcome :).

WL is a favorite of ours, too, as it's very easy to fall in love with everything about the resort :goodvibes. Three days at the WL with no parks sounds very relaxing, and CL will make it even more relaxing :wizard:.

Congrats on your first upcoming RPC stay! I can't help with requests as we've never stayed in a deluxe king room, but wanted to say I hope you have a great trip. The GF is a great resort, but RPC is amazing :cloud9:.

Congrats on the 2 ADRs :). Unfortunately, IPO doesn't have any extra pull when it comes to booking ADRs as they see the same availability everyone else does. I'm sorry IPO seemed annoyed when you called, but I hope it doesn't take away from the fun of your planning :wizard:.

Really looking forward to meeting the CL CMs when I get to WL, though! I've heard they're great :)

They really are great, some of the best :thumbsup2.

Thanks. I'm going to check a few times a day for my other choices. IPO did put me in waiting list for one but not holding out hope. I have always done my own dining ADRs in the past but was hoping IPO had some pull. I bought my plane tickets and MVMCP tickets this am too. Just need to hit undercover tourist for my park ones now. So excited! Thanks for all the help!
